Sir i have a gate score of 604 in cse and i really want to join top product based companies but im not sure about the colleges. Should i go for new iits or nits or iits? Iiith exam is on its way. Should i secure my seat there if i get selected or leave it and wait for coap rounds to get into any old nits(will i get any @ this score?)? Im thinking of joining educational technology branch in iitb so that i can sit for cse/it placements. Will i be eligible or its a risk? Also im a good student.

Sir I have heard about 2nd gen IITs that they generally focus more on their Btech placement but not on mtech placement and also observed that on their site they post only about their btech placement statistics. So is this valid for someone who is more inclined towards placements should actually prefer old NITs over 2nd generation IITs???

And also in such cases let say after 35 yrs old is there any chance of working with government organisations rather than starting own start up. 3rd sem mein placement chalti hai. You start your job after 2 years of course. And yes, one can go for internships after 1 year as well

well, if you have the bandwidth to prepare again and get into Old IIT do that. But you can prepare side by side with your M-Tech from Palakkad

@@EdSharpener i am little worried about this because after graduation from tier 3 college i got rejection from service based companies as they need good communication skill irrespective of my academics and unfortunately I don't have. My gate score is around 450 and will get mid nits. i am an ece graduate. i feel that i will be in same position after 2 years as i am now as chances of core companies will be less and service based demand will never change. Too much mess up in mind.

Take the previliged students during their first semester tour of sheet metal shed industry and scrap yard in the city of college, in group of four and fives to visit as silent spectator. For they may know, where we are, and let there dreams be guided by some of these hard working fellow Indians, and technical failures, non viability to service and obselance that landed some material in scrap yard.
