Our favourite weekend destination. Highly recommend The Renmark Hotel on the riverfront. Famous for the Breaker Morant connection. Great video.

Yes it is worth going there mate, great relaxing place to enjoy the nature and stay away from busy city life. Many hikes, ancient things, wineries to see, and also some water activities. Time to go depends upon person to person. I went there at the end of summers, it was great time. I personally think that peak summers are not the best time (Dec-Feb), as the days are long, and everything closes there at 5.30 except few restaurants. So you won’t do much in the evenings other than sitting on river corner or visiting farms. All other seasons are good to go
