Thats because the harmonic outline is clearly a 'major' tonality in this, its literally trying to end with a better interval or tone unlike stranger thing which tries to create suspense. Idk why it feels nostalgic or flashbacky tho, its supposed to feel satisfying, since its an arpeggio of note ascending but why would it evoke any memory is beyond me
