As probably as a world without women. Women are like 52% of the population and a considerable part of the workforce. Besides the economic (and of course emotional) damage there is no workaround for reprodution without women (at least until now). We men would have to count on a few survivors (if any woman would wanna keep herself alive in a world like this - I've seen women openly saying that they'd lead a woman's death cult in that situation) or work with a really limited time on solving reproduction without a womb problem. I think this kind of movie dialogues with how this kind of world would suck for the survivors. The Handmaid's Tale centers around ritualized rape sessions. This one imagines a bunch of crazy ladies forcing another lady to rape a dude in a bondage fetish way. Actually this part was laughable. Of course rape is a terrible thing for both genders but that was a satiric representation. The part where men are lured into a trap with a promisse of safety and end up being milked out for the rest of their life... That was evil! And more likely in my opinion. The fact that this cruelty was kept a secret in this all women society is also very cunning and woman like. Beyond that I think in an all men's world if they were able to breed women back into society I'm pretty sure they would do it. But they'd keep them as some kind of prorpety. His personal breeder. A dehumanized being. Docilized by all necessary means. Something like a pet. Give them a fell milenia and society as we know would be back. For case of women being able to breed men back into society, I'm not quite sure they would do this. Of course having a men by your side has lots of advantages besides being able to reproduce for women but in a world that kept itself working without men I guess women could find men being present in society as dispensable. They're already making things work by themselves so they could make out a plan to keep the status quo. Imagine a rebuilt society with almost no men where sperm is some kind of commodity milked away from these few unlucky dudes and where women can select the gender of their offspring. Men would become even more dehumanized than women in the mirror society. They'd live like livestock without the value of a personal item or a pet. Maybe even the idea of what a man is could be forever lost. Imagine! Of course there's a lot of ifs but women could really obliterate men from history. It would be like we never been here. That's amusing. Of coursing eveything I said is about a rebuilt society. I'm not talking about situations where only a few man keep all the women or queen bee freaking stuff. Few people being able to reproduce could very likely destroy society by itself as much as low genetic variability would very likely eventually exterminate the offspring of the lucky ones. We're not like bees or other mammals that have a lot of offspring. We've evolved to have one single baby at time. We're much more like mamuths. Do you know how the last mamuths died? They slowly died out because they were just a few individuals isolated in an island without a genetic poll large enough to overcome the problems associated with endogamy.
