At the end of last year, I did a Plan With Me episode, taking you through how I plan my personal goals for 2024.
It was one of the most popular episodes ever, and so many of you asked for regular check-ins! So today, as we approach the three-month mark, I’m going to take you through how I check in and go through quarterly reflection and goal setting.
So, if the first few months of the year have been a whirlwind, here are the tools you need to get back on track.
Use the code WORKINGHARD to get 50% off The Productivity Method digital planner: productivitymethod.com/
p.s. The goals that appear on screen throughout are just example goals I added to show you how to use the digital planner as mine are SECRET.

As promised, here are my reading recommendations on goal-setting and habit tracking:

Simon Sinek - Find Your Why

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: Reflecting on goals and progress is essential every three months. Setting achievable and trackable goals helps maintain momentum throughout the year. Break down yearly goals into monthly or quarterly objectives for better manageability. Translate goals into actionable steps and schedule them in your calendar. Habit tracking aids in maintaining consistency towards achieving goals. Communicate goals effectively to teams or stakeholders for alignment and support. Emphasize steps and timelines when communicating goals to foster teamwork. Recognize the importance of discipline over motivation in achieving goals consistently. 🔥 Reframe the mentality of crashing and burning when setting goals. 🏃 Start with achievable goals to build discipline gradually. 💡 Focus on realistic goal setting rather than aiming for rapid changes. 🎯 Take smaller steps to avoid overwhelming yourself with ambitious goals. 💪 Discipline is key to sustainable progress, not just motivation. 🚀 Gradually increase goals once you've established consistent habits. 📚 Utilize reading resources for productivity and goal setting tips. 🌟 Make goal setting and reflection a continuous part of your routine beyond January. Such a fruitful episode thank you 😊 You’ve made me realize I use my cycle to do this: luteal phase is my check in as I feel reflective, menstrual phase I do a deeper check in with myself and this helps me to set my next cycle of goals intuitively (I’m much more realistic than when I used to do this in Ovulatory phase and burn out or get overwhelmed!). Then follicular phase I get my planning on: like the nitty gritty what I need to do each week and day etc and then ovulation I’m creating 🎉 don’t get me wrong u take tangible action during each phase but when I let myself rest and actually check in with other the goal I find I get so so much focused work done during follicular - luteal. I also noticed that when I don’t plan on follicular then ovulation would be a whirlwind where I have all the energy but no focus (this is my experience of ovulating with ADHD) 😅 Thanks again, great video!

Looooved the aesthetic of this video, lighting was on point and bg so minimalist I had no choice BUT to focus on your words of wisdom. PLEASE make a good notes/notability version of TPM. Contrary to what every productivity influencer believes, Notion is not for everyone.

Goooo offfff. at 10:50 you talk about how its easy to make excuses for yourself of wow that's a lot... but procrastinating and going the hard, long, round-a-bout way to reaching your goals is really much harder.... so good. Needed that accountability this morning

Discipline by far outweighs motivation, to whoever asked about the running… As long as you get yourself running no matter what, that’s a good start even if you run 5,10,15 minutes… just get yourself out there… But more importantly your WHY needs to be strong enough as well, in whatever your goal is 🙏🏼

Such a great episode. Had a slow start of the year and started to set my 2024 goals only now, beginning of Q2. This was great to change up how I've written out my yearly and monthly goals.

I get that things are probably really tough for you and that (y)our achievements might feel diminished in comparison when we see people who grew up with more privilege reaching more externally recognised success. Still, she personally hasn't done anything to deserve her accomplishments being minimised to this. I feel your frustration, but there are better places to direct this than towards someone offering tools and information that many of us didn't have access to growing up.
