If only the aerodynamics were as good in SP as in DCS tho... And of course, stuff like actual radars and other things to be fitted inside the aircraft aren't even a thing in SP, wud be cool tho to have all these sensors and the corresponding dials n displays to em. But it's still cool that it's got just at least a fraction of the cool features from DCS.

@@vinny3410 Well... some argue it's not simple enough. But drag and flatspins are still unrealistic, flatspins are absolutely recoverable in real life, even if its method feels a little counterintuitive at first. Drag is... click the wind tunnel button and see for yourself. "aerodynamic" nose cones are less aerodynamic than the flat end of a cone cylinder thingy.

But you never will mimic a fraction of the power of the players of SP, you will never make a Radar in this game, or a decent cockpit, or a replica of a real plane.

Cool to see my texan in the menu. Kinda glad you didn't choose it, definitely takes some flight knowledge and patience. Its the north American t-6 texan, and it says plat special, would be so amazing if my favorite KZfaqr could fly it, it would also be a good challenge plane. It was a trainer after all. Been here since about 50k and never regretted a thing

Camodo was the one to make me buy Simpleplanes on the app store. Your content about Stormworks, BeamNG, Teardown and Simpleplanes are really good! I was really interested in buying Simpleplanes since your 4th video about it. I hope you don't stop these series since it has a special place on my heart! I guess im one of the og subscribers here, so the last thing i wanna let you know is. Don't hesitate on taking a break on these stuffs. I know you upload some on a weekly streak and i still have the laughs i have on the old days. Your one of my favorite childhood content creator so far. With this update, and with this standalone VR, SimplePlanes finally got to the point where it turned into something that just feels like it's on another level. It's almost a hardcore simulator now, save for the sometimes janky physics (e.g. how in game the flatspins are unrecoverable, even though IRL they of course, are, much like a normal stall... or how drag on nosecones is too high so the plane kinda doesn't like to maintain speed well enough, tho it's still a million times more realistic than anything plane-related in Stormworks, sadly). But the progress the devs had made with this game is awesome. Today I built my first advanced cockpit plane with ejection seat as it's almost a "custom" for me now to include bailing out of everything since I first made one of these ejection gizmos way before the cockpits were a thing. Now as every old design had it, I decided it's a must for the new one. I got a satisfying amount of motion sickness out of it on testing regardless of the fact that I only have a flat computer screen XD Great vid as always! :D

You can recover from a flat spin, you just need to do it like you recover from a stall. (also need high alt)

I suffered whenever camodo said it an aircraft had "all" the buttons and it was a full flight simulator. None the less, great content.

It's nowhere near a hardcore flight sim, but it is neither a casual crappy mainstream game randomly having planes at least. You can in fact call this a flight simulator of sorts, some games that aren't even this detailed already count as one. Except of course they and SP are on the lighter, easier end of flight sims. Not gonna make you a pilot, but enough to give you a basic understanding of aircraft... which average people still don't really have. That's when they freak out because of turbulence at 10kilometres of room for error (aka altitude).

Flaps are for takeoff trim is basically a up and down but it doesn’t go back to normal unless YOU put it back to normal. Put landing gear up if you will overshoot the carriers
