Technically it’s not functional anymore, initially seats are spaced out so that the reclining actually won’t affect the passenger behind as much.

But they WERE made to recline farther. Ergo, passengers have the RIGHT to recline their seats. If a passenger doesn't want someone reclining in front of them, then they can pay for a different form of transportation. Or fly themselves with their arms.

Not for nothing, if I paid for my seat, it reclines and I want to sleep or my back hurts, I'm going to recline it. If it wasn't meant to recline it wouldn't. Simple as that.

Me too, love when they get all mad. I had a woman say recently "try some kindness" after I kneed the seat back up. I told her that I loved that she didn't see the irony in that statement.
