"Planet Caravan" has always been on of my favorite Black Sabbath (and Pantera) songs, and I love how deep the psychedelic groove is. I also love the leslie cabinet effect on Ozzy Osborne's vocals on their original recording. It's adds such a eerie, spacey, mood to the performance. I've gotten a lot or requests for a fingerstyle version of this song, and I wanted the acoustic guitar to have a similar effect, so I used my Lâg HyVibe Guitar, since I can add effects like chorus, reverb, and vibrato to the tone acoustically. I did not ad any effects to this song in post production... all of the the effects are coming directly out of the guitar acoustically.

You just took me to a place that I haven't been in decades. I had to pause 20 seconds in, grab the headphones and head outside to listen whilst laying in the grass staring into the heavens. I've heard many versions of this over the years, but yours is the first that rekindled the feeling of the original for me. Beautifully arranged and played!

I accept his smile, Tommy Emmanuel is a virtuoso guitarist, but many times he is more focused on showing off his virtuosity than on playing the melody, to the point that many times you listen to him and you don't know what he is playing. To my ear and heart it feels better to listen to JJ.

@@juanc.9814 I’ll give you that much . his catalog is huge so I’m sure you could find something slow . he’s more of a showman type and frustrated singer . JJ has an uncanny way of plucking the lyrics essentially and could be a frustrated vocalist as well . I’m smitten w many many slide players and I never thought I’d say he’s imo as good technically as Ry Cooder and as smooth as Lowell George . do you like Roy Rogers ( not the cowboy) lol

The bass here gives me long lasting goosebumps. For me also planet caravan is one of favourites BS songs. Actually, it's no. 2, just below War Pigs. I had never heard this song before, so I had no preconceived notions about what it would be like. Having said that... regardless of how the original was done, you made this song your own. To me it was peaceful and beautiful! Does kinda make me want to listen to Black Sabbath's version, though, just to see what it was like.

Just break it up piece by piece. Start with the chords and then the fingering for the melody. Shouldn’t be bad since the camera is on him the whole time. If you give me a couple weeks I could do it for you. But it’ll be better if you took it on.
