The species stuff comes from the larva. if you hover over all the items you can convert it will tell you what it turns into.

I've been playing since the start of early access. Nice to see what I always called the lush valley actually turn into a forest, I think it was the first area to turn green when they added plants.

That area you found north of the Dune Desert is the Ice Plains, a new starting area. I'm so glad you found it cuz I was debating whether to stay there (my 4th playthrough) or move because it's somewhat inconvenient as it's quite remote, and I wasn't sure whether it was going to get green so I was really glad you found it so I could see that I totally want to stay! It gets gorgeous! It's really cool looking as the ice plains too. The uranium cave you found in that area isn't a new uranium cave; it's the one in the Northern Highlands but now it has a "back door" into the Ice Plains. Quite a bit has changed since EA so it took me a bit to realize where I was too. I've been playing since it was The Prologue and have loved every minute of it. One of my favorite "survival" games of all time. I love that there are no monsters or scary stuff so I can freely explore without being terrified, lol. I'm a wimp. I've loved your coverage of all it and can't wait to see the wrap up.

I’ve been playing since early access and I love how it’s been going. I never expected multiplayer or lore to be a big thing but here we are.

so long as the animals are kept happy with a stable food supply which can be done using drones to drop off more into feeder. you can pet the animals every so often to get random free genetic traits of various types and levels. note helps to have multiple food farms growing stuff so you don't run low and it's a good way to use up those extra seed packs.

Ive been playing since just before insects were introduced, the changes this game has gone through is a true terraformation.

Been playing since it came out and can agree looking now what the game has become is amazing. There were months you’d set the game down waiting for new content because you’d already reached the end of what was available and now to see this all finally put together is great to see.

FYI: If you make the creature and release it using unique or hard to find traits, you can pet it occasionally to get a copy of one of those traits randomly.

Was playing this since it was just a demo, where you had to go into the experimental to go further than the blue sky hurdle. This game has come a long way, so worth the wait. Now to update my storage facility to include all the new stuff.

That little creature looks like a those carboard eating creatures from Scrap Mechanic (Glowbugs). But this one has evolved into more of a hunter.

Wish you would have showed us your bioluminescent creature in the night time would have been a lot cooler seeing it at night it's pretty cool as it is but wish you would have shown it at night

have you seen the great rift area? It's gorgeous with all the waterfalls.

You should use the blueprint pinner thingy, right click something you wanna make (both in build menu and craft menu) it'll show the recipe in the corner so you don't have to remember material costs.

Some of the genetics had a number on the right side of them! 2, 3, & 4! Tier levels? Forgot the pet feeder!!

so the quartz crystals don't seem to be mineable yet in the northwest corner of map regardless of which miner you use. I managed to setup all 3 miners next to each other in the quartz cave and they only gave basic materials for now.

they added a animal spreader rocket to the launch platform in late game. that boosts efficiency by 1000% plus like the others the effect stacks nearly endlessly.

Mammal generation is fun. I’ve kept to more neutral colors so critters don’t look like stuffed kids toys. lol. All you need as much variety in your world as you can get instead of sticking only to the high end stuff. I just experimented until I found ones that suited me. Also you can make all basic species from 3 basic larvae. It’s the variants you need to explore for until you get enough. Have fun. ;).

I've played since early access. It is one of my favourite games. I have started a new save for 1.0 and the thing I have noticed is stuff unlocks really fast, like you get T3 mining drill in no time, it seems. I don't know if it's me remembering it wrong because it seemed like you had time to set up stuff and go exploring during early access. But considering I know where to go and what to do first, I'm still running around like a lunatic trying to keep up with things unlocking (and I don't mean the blue chip unlocks). I'd like to see you do a new playthrough and see what you think. 😅

With planet crafter I always wonder does time work different on the planet? Cus normally it takes many lifetimes for a jungle like that to grow on it's own. So I just figured that player character is a really long sleeper. xD

Someone needs to make a game that is this game, but takes the expansiveness of no man's sky. So where you can terra form a planet, and when you are done. move on to another planet, and people can discover your planets already terraformed
