Part Two of Two Planishing an Aluminum Motorcycle Cafe Racer Gas Tank.

Latest version Aluminum Motorcycle Tank. New (old) technology way of making an aluminum Cafe Racer Tanks in the style of repousse' where the only tools needed are hand tools and a reverse buck of the shape is made with fiberglass, hard plaster or 3-D printed plastic.
In this video I will show you that it is unnecessary to have a shop full of big expensive machinery to shape aluminum body parts, or a woodworking shop to make bucks.
With some simple hand tools and working with 3-D printers, you can make the tools to build and fabricate Bike parts, artwork and more. Please watch these videos to learn how, ask questions,

Well, I’ve been working on it for two weeks. The bottom will be a challenge but it’s about 1/2 finished now.

Beautiful ! I've built a few myself, and I think you explained it very well. Maybe anneal it more often to stop it getting stiff and fragile, it will flow easier.

Thanks! I actually try to work harden it after the first anneal to achieve at least H-12. If I have a difficult tank like the DUCATI Monster tank I’ll hit it with annealing one more time. Thanks for watching and bash on my friend!!!

I admire your work. it's amazing. I have a question, I am the owner of a Yamaha warrior 1700, it's a great motorcycle, at least for me, it has only one flaw, the fuel tank. Its shape causes it to be damaged at the slightest fall, it is made of steel, so after each repair it corrodes sooner or later, new ones are no longer available and used ones are unavailable unicorns. Would such an artist as you undertake to recreate such a tank and what would be the cost. say hello to distant Poland.

@@legendarydave333 I understand it perfectly. On Facebook, a used one in good condition can cost over $1,000. Yamaha doesn't make them anymore and everyone is looking for them. if someone started "serial" production, they could have many customers. Some people buy every one that shows up, regardless of the price and in which part of the world it is located, it is important that the condition allows for reconstruction. there are even scammers who post pictures, accept payment and disappear. I sensed a scam myself at the last minute because I was supposed to transfer $500 for a slightly damaged one
