Sadiq Khan suggesting phone manufacturers make their phones less attractive to steal is the same mindset as suggesting women should cover themselves in public to avoid sexual assault. Blame the victim of a crime and not the perpetrator. I wonder where he got that idea.

I cannot believe it is legal. I have a new Hybrid Volvo and have had 2 fines of £160 as my car is not ULEZ. It does not only effect old cars. I now do not visit my disabled son in East London everyday as I can’t afford it.

As an American I love watching this as it restores my faith in sane human beings pointing out the total craziness and stupidity of society not just in America but in England too. How can these migrants be refugees fleeing persecution if they're coming from France? At the very least, they should be required to stay in France while their case is being adjudicated. It makes more sense to spend the money on additional court costs than luxury accomodations.

I live in Canada now and left Britain nearly 50 years ago. I actually voted for The Common Market, thinking it could only be good for Britain but like most organizations that start out with good intentions, ie, UN, Common Market now EU, WHO etc. it is all about self interest and their own power. If you don’t like the show, why do you watch it? Have a great day.

I voted “yes” in the referendum on whether to join the then Common Market; my mum (who worked in a munitions factory during WW2) told me to run inside if I heard a noise and saw something black falling from the sky and get under the Anderson Shelter in our living room. Our school in Lincoln had a week off in the Autumn for potato picking. I left school at fifteen and started work in an engineering company and worked until in my seventies apart from sometime off when my children were small. Played netball for my school and also for work team. Was on a darts team. Used to walk to a country pub with my friend with our small children on a Friday evening (my husband played in a band on Fridays) and sit in the garden with our shandies, juice for the kids and packets of crisps and picked up fish and chips for supper on the the way home. Worked for the Home Help in my early thirties as the hours allowed me to be home for the kids before and after school. Hosted many bonfire night get togethers and filled pillow cases with gifts for the kids on Christmas Eve. I could go on but am sure you are bored by now. Emigrated to Canada in the late seventies.

I can’t understand the hysteria over legionaries bacteria found in the water of the Bibby Barge… this is part and parcel of an RN warship coming out of refit. Usually stops us moving on until it’s treated, in fact, I’ve moved on to a ship with a pigeon lice infestation. I think if folk seen how UK forces have lived in and standard of food we’ve eaten provided by the usual contractor services it would open eyes. I’ve also stopped on a barge not as good as this.

Doesn't the UK have some uninhabited islands or a least ones with bracing sea breezes? Put all those healthy young men there with a heap of tents and Nissan huts to assemble. It should be short of entertainment apart from a few wandering sheep. In Australia we have managed nicely, a facility on a tropical island, not much by way of shops etc. A month or so and most are asking for a return ticket. No we are not racist but we are too small a population to bank roll a bunch of single males looking for freebies.

According to the census 2021 there are only around 3 million eu citizens in the Uk. Not sure where the 6.5 million figure comes from maybe the eu settlement scheme but many have left. The main numbers have always come from Asia and Africa.
