We haven't focused on it because we don't load wbs manually. We use our tools. Please check assignment 03 . How we do it . Without using any shortcut key

Hi, Thanks for the detailed explanation. I have a small doubt. MEP WBS duration was supposed to increase by 60 days as per the assignment. But as activities are running in parallel, will the overall MEP duration increase by 60 days in this case?.

First of all , thanks for commenting. Your question is good. Orignal duration = planned duration also . So don't mixup duration types in P6 . See actual duration if you want to see increase. While learning don't copy steps. Listen what we are explaining. It's more beneficial. Keep commenting and asking from us in future also

I have joined as a planning engineer in Gulf for the first time, but I don't have any experience in planning before. By simply doing p6 training course and some theoretical studies,I have successfully got this job , but now I don't have any idea what exactly I have to do. Can you please suggest what I can do since I only know p6. Or atleast tell me specific job activities of a planning engineer in refinery means what work will be given to me. And what work on excel as well. I have still 7-8 days in hand to be shifted to refinery.

Hi. I'm following all your steps in this video but when I schedule my primavera, the total floats are the same but sub floats are completely different. Can you please explain what are the factors that made my schedule different from yours eventhough I 'm doing the same steps as yours. Thanks a lot!

Sorry, you have got this issue. May be their is some section of the video in which I have assigned other relationship .so it's possible the result would be different for other activities. But don't worry if the duration is OK and finish dates are OK and total float are not higher then limits. Then enjoy the skills you gave learned in this video. @missmikeecruz 5 % of activity count. And the higher total float may be allowed by contract 28,44,60 days As per total duration decided by consultant. But DCMA allow 44 excluding milestones, engineering, procurement activities. In some projects

Sir there is huge missing in the baseline schedule you have prepared! According to DCMA 14 points manuals,the float shouldn't be higher than 44 days while here i see the float is even high than 80 days even in a single activity 😊

The assignment has full filled all the criteria given. No debate with leaners. Please keep learning after years you will understand what was the purpose of video . Is it baseline schedule video or interview assignment video. Also you will understand about float limits. What if project duration is 3 months and what if project duration is 3 years. So keep try to learn.Softedemy team are professionals in planning and we know what is wrong and what is right practice of scheduling. So keep try to learn.
