Girls, I love your show so much and always watch it late so forgive the late comment. Thank you for acknowledging those of us who don’t have our moms on Mother’s Day. It’s been THIRTY FIVE YEARS and it still gives me a pang on Mother’s Day. THANK YOU ❤️

I enjoyed watching this episode as usual but you made me cry at the end 😢 Your Mother’s Day message was very sweet. My mom passed away when I was 24 years old. I am 51 years old now and still miss her . My kids are 26 and 23 and I am so blessed to watch their life and their adulthood, that my mom couldn’t do. Thank you for thinking of people like me ❤

Thank you for acknowledging how complicated and diverse Mother’s Day can be. Many people have had very painful relationships with difficult mothers. Some people were difficult mothers. Some have lost their mothers. I love that you acknowledged the diversity of the day for those who grew up in dysfunctional dynamics.

Sadly, Mora's Ice Cream has retired and now Island Cool serves ice cream. Jess's new shop is beautiful and the yarns are lovely.

I really enjoyed your podcast and I put in an order for some yarn. Also, thank you for your thoughtful, kind message about Mother’s Day. My mom passed away In January and then my Dad in February (a month and a day apart). I am trying to forget Mother’s Day this year. Luckily this Mother’s Day happens to fall on my hubby’s 60 th birthday so I want the day to be focused on him this year.

I wish I could join your New England cruise--another wonderful venue. I will be coming home from a cruise around Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England the day you leave. I'm so excited to go!! I am praying you are nowhere near the fires in Canada! Love watching you two and your empathy for others. My mom has been gone for over 20 years, and I miss her every day!

Jodi, this Michigan girl has lived in Texas for 29 years and I have not acclimated yet! Ninety degrees (or higher) weather means air conditioning is high everywhere you go. Naturally, I need a sweater for every occasion! Loved the hockey comments, GO REDWINGS! Thanks for another great episode!

Crochet sightings: just watched a PBS series Black Tulip and in some of the later episodes I couldn’t take my eyes off the jacket the young detective was wearing. Looks like very chunky variegated yarn or maybe fabric made into yarn. Her fitted jacket was mesmerizing.

Shorty Summer 24 Socks ....I think it helps to date our knits so that we can refer to them in the future. Jodi and Tracie have a wonderful Mother's Day with your Mom and families. Crocheting a granny square cardigan now, so much fun.

I love the iced setting for coffee! My understanding is it makes it extra strong because it anticipates the ice you will use will water it down a little. I’m not sure if that means the water soaks in the grounds longer before getting released or something but it always tastes yummy!

Hi, Girls! The summer knit I am making is the Tegna by Caitlin Hunter. I am dying some Knitpicks Lindy Chain which is a Charente style fingering that is 70% linen and 30% Pima cotton. It is a great yarn, I have knifed a Love Note in it. I am dyeing it a light olive green and am holding it with a light olive sequin yarn. Looking forward to wearing it at a wedding in Olympia, WA this summer! Love your podcast, Nanette in San Francisco

I did the dupixent. Which cleared my hands. But I had the side effect of seborrheic dermatitis. Then they switched me to Aurby. Same thing. So now I’m off everything praying my hands don’t break out so hard working in healthcare

I had to turn the sound off because I had a conference call. So glad I came back to rewatch because I had seen the picture of Hannahlie’s husband and wasn’t clear what was going on; had not been following her. It is so tragic, especially since his coronary disease, if diagnosed could have been treated successfully. My heart goes out to her and her whole family, especially the little boys. I purchased some yarn so that I can make a garment and wear it in his memory.❤❤

Jodi…..my husband is taking skyrizi and it is a miracle drug! His psoriasis cleared totally cleared up within 5 weeks with absolutely no side effects. Good luck and hopefully it will work for you too!

Jodie, I’ve been on biologic for several years. I was a mess with psoriasis and since the monthly shots not one single flare. I’ve been on Tremfya and now on Taltz. With both I’ve had no side effects. You’ll do great.

I agree about the staff. They work hard and are very pleasant. At the register, they give me the best price they can. I just wish they had a nicer working environment. One employee told me she doesn’t drink water so she doesn’t have to go in their bathroom! It’s truly disgusting. I hope part of the overhaul is a good renovation. I’m not giving up on them, but it’s not a treat to go in like it used to be. I just saw a new Joann’s ad here on KZfaq and I want to know where THAT store is! 😂

Tracy, regarding adjusting a neckline.... if my neckline is bigger than I would like as a finished project, I will crochet a around in a CC with a size down needle from the collar. It always brings the neckline in just enough.

Re the airplane knitting, my biggest fear is tsa will take my needles 😲😵‍💫🤯🧶. I knit the entire time we wait for flights then on the plane. I would be a basket case without my knitting😵‍💫. Happy Mother’s Day to you both 💕

Hi from Adelaide Australia 42 C is like a snow day here you stay in and don't venture out unless desperate . Then at 7pm you head to the beach and suspend in the water till bedtime lol

My husband did a zip line thing in Alaska last summer. Very high, fast, but many flights of wobbly stairs to get up to the zip line. So happy I didn’t join him, just not my thing.

Hey ladies. You don’t acclimate. I’ve lived in Charlotte , NC for 46 years after growing up in Washington state. I tolerate July and August because of air conditioning but I hate the heat and humidity! I visit my family in Washington to escape the heat for a week. 😂

Viscose is rayon. Some of it is not very environmentally friendly. Look for yarn with Tencel for a more sustainable version of viscose!
