You missed the best most obvious detail that helps with this level so much. The MUSEUM IS A BOAT. ITS FLOATING, and tied off. The first rope you shot was one of many holding it in place.

Bonus points for the odd boat/crane/plank bridge. You should do odd bridges every time. I love seeing the most jurryrigged of things, that's my favorite part.

The one half of the museum is not connected well. It's mostly connected by joints and only one connection is solid. All you have to do is destroy the wooden hallway and half of the museum will be a loose object.
