I love watching planner flip throughs. My dad had ALS (he passed in 1999) so I 100% understand the “F**k ALS” comments! I know there are no good diseases, but that one is especially horrible. It’s been a long time so I can forget about the bad times and just remember my dad in happier, healthier days. I hope it’s that way for you now too with your husband.

Love your videos! My dad past from ALS in 2020. I’m a nurse so I was very grateful I could help my family with his care. That’s when my happy planning went straight to happy planner/stickers addiction!

Thank you for doing this video. I lost my husband in 2017 due to diabetes and dialysis. I believe the cause of death was a heart attack. My David had kept our calendar for 32+ years. He listed all of his appointments for work, charity and eventually medical. All of this was for tax purposes and to manage our time. So, when he died in November and turned the page to December -- well, it was blank. I have been floating in space due to having no order in my life. So, I am going to try using the Happy Planner to remind myself of things I need to do.

Loved watching this! I discovered the Happy Planner in 2018, as well, and discovered decorative planning through YOU, after I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of that year and planning was a comfort for me. I wonder how many of us came to the Happy Planner and stickers as a result of big upheavals in our lives?

Remember seeing the fox and other stickers.I started in 1916 with HP.Still have some stickers from back then 😂.Had to stop for three years (homelessness). Started back up in 2022.My first planners were awful.Still switching layouts.

I'm glad you made the Squad while your husband was alive. It appears when he died it kept your from going into a deep depression. You had something to which to look forward. Hobbies are great for helping with mental health. Decorative planning relaxes me. Thank your for posting this.

I am inspired. I've been a scrapbooker for 21 years, a card maker for 18 and now I want to get into decorative planning/documenting in my weekly planner. Thanks for showing your beginning as it will inspire me to keep going even if I don't like some of my 1st years spread. YES.... would love to see 2019 and beyond. Omg... love your story. Just recently i became aware that planning is my getaway. I like the colors and stickers. I always thought it should be something to organize my life. And I would feel bad when life wasn't as interesting. Now changed my way of thinking and just creating.

This was fun! I also started planning in 2018, with happy planner. Actually fall of 2017, with a new mini and extension pack so I could start using it right away. I wish I had kept that planner! ALL the washi and ALL the stickers….no style whatsoever. Probably took me that whole year to find my groove. Fast forward to 2022, and now I’m mostly just pen to paper, and hardly any stickers, but I still enjoy watching other peoples’ creativity.

The handwriting in the beginning is beautiful I still have my mom write my name in the beginning of my planners because I think her handwriting is just gorgeous ( I'm 26 😂😂) and I recently did the same thing where I used one of your videos and print it out hexagon and then made a sticker using washi tape with them for now I'm proud of it.

Love this flip through. I started a HP in March 2018. Before that I did Bullet Journaling in regular blank journal books. The thing I hated was when I messed up, I could not tear the page out. I really got into HP. Who every thought playing with stickers? I have kept written journals for years. Back in the days, I kept a notebook with notebook paper with To Do List, Menus, To Buy, etc.

Sometimes we can be our own worst critics. You’re first planner was great, it was fun to see it. So many cute doodles and ideas. Have you done a video where you “reboot” any of the layouts? That could be fun. In my first HP I did all of the months at once. It was all just washi tape everywhere, ugh…. But as you say watching other planner’s videos and getting inspiration definitely helps you improve. Thanks for sharing!

Had to watch this video because we have the same cover! Mine has been used every year and is a little worse for wear but I love it. I love that you used metallic blue discs. I ignored the gold heart and used silver discs as those were the only metal expander discs I could find at the time. ❤
