So WONDERFUL to see your Sansevieria cylindrica in flower Spike, it will be BRILLIANT to pollinate the flowers for seed and I would LOVE to see the pollination, thanks so much for sharing Bill, and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful weekend XXXX

It actually looks pretty good! Yes to a pollinating demonstration! Can't wait to see the drunk bumble bee! This summer my Laurentii and Zeylanica both bloomed outside for me, it looked great!

Hi Bill .. Always love your videos. Mine originally came with a heavy rubber band wrapped around the bottom..so few years later, I put a new one on it when it breaks -- a few of the leaves 'escape' but for the most part it's under control -- and in a West facing window!

Thank you for the update. I love anything sansevieria. That’s the most successful plant in my small collection. I’m so intrigued to know it will flower. I put them out in the summer, my back yard is facing north & a small part of it west not to mention in BC. we don’t get the extreme heat ONT gets. I hope you can pollenate them. I would buy seeds off of you. I hope mine would flower for me one of these days. 🥰

Hi, i love your videos😁 Sansevierias are amazing. The correct id for this one should be Sansevieria cylindrica var. patula😉

Hi Bill, Maybe you should try going around your plant (a few inches from the base), many times with some floral tape to help give it more of that upward look/shape? I use floral tape indoors because it blends in so well. Just a suggestion, to reel in those pokey bits. Lol

Thats a great suggestion thank you... do you do that with your cylindrica? They don't bend easily... I tried a plant ring with not a lot of success

Hi, yes I’d like to see how you pollinate it. I have one but it’s not flowering now, didn’t know that it would until your video.

So cool! I've never seen one in bloom! I have a Moonshine and a Whitney and I love them. I'd like to see your process for pollinating yours! 😍😍😍

Yes. I’m very curious to see how you pollinate it. I have a huge one on my patio that has sent up three flower stalks so I am excited to see what they look like.

I would love to see a pollination video plus an update on how the seedlings you germinated last year (?) are doing! 🤓❤ I don't know if you have this problem with your cylindricas, but my starfish is so top-heavy that it tips over if I look at it the wrong way. I love it though - it's flowering right now!

I have a cylindrica as well but never seen it bloom like yours. Had no idea they did that lol. Please don't throw it!

Trim it back instead of tossing it out. Or giving it away to someone that would like to have it.

I don't have one right now, but my favorite sansevieria is S. Hahnii, the birds nest snake plant. It stays small, is very easy to care for, and offsets a lot, so you can share it with friends. This is the one I call " mother-in-law's tongue", although the name is also used for S. trifasciata. (I know that they're now known to be Dracaenas, but I believe they are different enough to qualify as a subgenus.)
