Hi Maryke. In one of your last videos in which I asked you about my problem with my plantar fasciitis and you kindly answered me quickly, I had completely forgotten that I was taking amitriptylin 75 mg before starting my problems with my plantar fascis for pain treatment. I have already inquired in advance about possible side effects of amitriptyline on the net where many report muscle pain. Especially about tendon pain, I did not find anything in retrospect and my attending doctor also excludes a connection. However, I have decided to sneak out and discontinue amitriptyline because I would also like to exclude it as side effects myself. Of course, the overload continues. Do you have any knowledge of a connection between taking amitriptyline and tendon pain? Greetings from Germany, Thomas .

Hi Thomas, No, I don't - I know amitriptyline is often prescribed in low doses to help decrease nerve pain but I don't know if it has any effect on tendons.

@@SportsInjuryPhysio Hi Maryke. Thanks again for your quick reply. That doesn't matter, even specialists don't know. With pregabalin and duloxetine, I also had muscular problems after some time of intake and with pregabalin when increasing the dose. However, never on the plantar fascia. The symptoms always disappeared after the removal of the respective medication. Therefore, in addition to the possible overload caused by walking for weeks and stand only in socks, I also have another influence of the amitriptyline on the screen. Be that as it may. I will carry out your instructions, including those in the app you mentioned, as stated. Thank you again for your answers and the effort you make in your videos.

Hi Maryke. i was wondering if you could point me to the right direction to a possible video. around the 2k mark when running i get pain in both arches and then followed by pins and needles in the toes, sometimes the pain in the arch goes to the outer part of my foot. my trainers aren't tight and there good running trainers. i am tight in the calves and when i stop to walk it off I can sometimes feel cramp wanting to start. does this seem like Plantar Fasciitis or something else...? Had this pain for a year now and wont go away. thanks for the great videos, your great.

Not usually - that is usually pain from the kneecap (patellofemoral pain syndrome) or the quadriceps tendon.

Hi Maryke. I have another question. I had two important doctor's appointments on two following days where I had to go a lot. Since yesterday, I can only walk limping, probably due to the extra load, due to severe pain under the left foot. I was hoping it would have gotten better today. Since this is not the case, I would no longer train according to the rehabilitation plan of the Exact Health App for the rest of the week in order to get more tranquillity in there again. I think that's the best for the moment

Oh, that is frustrating. Yes, you have to allow it time to first calm down a bit more and then ease back into training doing the easier exercises first - if it is happy with those you can slowly get back to what you were doing before the flare-up happened.

@@SportsInjuryPhysio Hi Maryke. Thank you for still finding time to answer questions in your workload 👍 . I'll do it the way you write it because really strange things are happening in my feet at the moment. Unfortunately, I have to approach the matter even more sensitively and literally count every step I take over the day. Unbelievable. What has also always been going around in my head since the appearance of plantar fasciitis is that I have become accustomed as a back sleeper to placing my feet over the end of the bed overnight, which of course makes my feet extremely forward. I bought a night splint on a trial basis but can't cope with it at all because you have to attach the thing so firmly to the splint leg that your foot dies after a very short time because no blood can flow anymore. I wish you a nice Easter Monday. Regards, Thomas.
