I love eggs. Since I can remember my mom cooked eggs for us almost everyday. To date I eat 1 egg almost everyday. I’m 75 and don’t wear eyeglasses. My vision is 20/20 per my eye doctor. I learned the lutein in the yolk goes directly to the eyes for vision. The choline goes to the brain for memory retention. My lipid profile is excellent. But then, I’m vegan for 2 years now since your video popped up on KZfaq and I subscribe.

@@PlantBasedKidneyHealth please. You have isolated supplements of phos-choline, phos. serine. From the different professionals the answer is unclear, some say theyre phospholipids so they are bad due to proteinuria. But then others say well choline is important for the brain and unless terrible high dose its not bad. The worry of TMAO they say is generally less of a worry as it would be cleared regular exercise as is already recommended.

Thank you for your analysis. I wonder if another reason for the difference between European results and American results is due to the diet fed the hens. Pasture raised eggs are 2-3 times more expensive than corn/soy (treated with glyphosate) eggs in the US. Just a thought.
@PlantBasedKidneyHealth

Definitely a great point and possibly contributes!
@Philosific
@Philosific 6 ай бұрын
At least what ive seen, the data shows that there is no difference american eggs and europeans eggs, nor nutrition makeup of the eggs. Because then youd have to further extend it and say that the diet of hens in every country should also have an impact on the eggs there as well. “If you mix raisin with turds, it is still turds”
@tommyleejohnson7308
@tommyleejohnson7308 6 ай бұрын
The real issue is toxins permitted by the EU in the production of eggs vs what is permitted by US authorities. And yes, the diet of hens in each individual country could be different. Then, what is the impact on our kidneys? As a kidney transplant, this question is crucial. Further, for various health reasons, I have no desire to be a vegan.
@Philosific
@Philosific 6 ай бұрын
@@tommyleejohnson7308 and then eggs in the Caribbean, Latin America, Asia (where eggs are a staple) & Africa?... The world is bigger than EU and US. But i do think you get to the real issue: Simple put, Americans refuse to eat a more diversified diet to the point it is killing us. And we further like to look for everything else and everyone else to blame, because as you say "I have no desire to...". there is a reasonable balance between complete meat and vegan, which was sort of the point of this video. Eggs can be fine in a reasonably BALANCED meal.

This is another great video. One thing that I wish was added would be how to get the nutrients that you spoke about that are positive from eggs like Lutein from plant sources. The video leaves me thinking to protect eyes and other issues related to lutein maybe I need to eat eggs. But as a vegan, I can’t do that, so what is the substitute for that nutrient in the plant world?

Plant based and kidney health , should be illegal to put in The same sentence. The only 3 people i know that got off of dialysis did it on a full carnivore diet. Fruits and veggies have carbs and oxilates which poison your kidney. Also salt is not bad if your not eating any carbs. I mean “no” carbs including the carbs that come from fruits and veggies. If you are reading this and have kidney failure and are on the dialysis stop eating everything but eggs and red meat. I tried all routes, vegan, veggiterian, no processed food. And the only thing that worked was meat, salt, and water. Listening to these doctors are gonna keep you sick. Not fully their fault though its the info they were intoctornated with

We have other episodes on oxalates and carnivore diet that people can check out that have questions about that. You obviously have very strong and different views than us so no need to argue or try and convince. Our goal with our channel is to provide people with kidney disease information and education. Whole food, plant predominant diets have been shown to target and improve many aspects of problems that people with kidney disease have (high blood pressure, insulin resistance, high phosphorus, uremia, gut imbalances, and much more).

The fact is that people react differently to different diets. I saw a doctor with years of experience and he said that one patient was able to halt his CKD and slightly improve his kidney function after 5 years by cutting out pork and other processed foods. Other patients significantly improved kidney function with a vegan diet where other patients decreased kidney function with a carnivore diet. There's a video wit a guy that had 5 percent kidney function that was able to get off dialysis with a strict grass fed meat and specific vegetable diet. There's another man that with a KZfaq channel that improved his CKD significantly with a varied diet of everything from chicken drumsticks to apples. So my friend experimentation is the key. Also in another study dialysis patience that included intermittent fasting lived a further 700 to 800 days.
