Yeh, I missed my corys. They were hidden in the shadows in the back where there's very little Sag growth.

Awesome Chung! I recently had to do a massive trimming/purge of my windelov java fern. It looked pretty pathetic at first, but it filled in very quickly (for java fern) and it looks way better than it ever has. Java fern loves being trimmed!

Awesome work 👍🏻 Personally I would leave the empty space on the right. And maybe lighten the load of plants going towards the empty space. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the room 👍🏻

Hi, Water Box Discovered your site & being extremely impressed, subscribed a couple months ago. I need quick advice re which plant light to get for a 20 gal h rimmed fish tank w/ glass canopy. Am rapidly losing mid light plants even though using root tabs, liquid fertilizer, iron & carbon. Lighting is not adequate. Need quick decision to order lights in next couple days. Could you make suggestion? Thx.

Either the finnex planted+ or finnix 24/7 cc or Fluval planted 3.0. These are good medium range costs with good results for mid to low-mid light demanding plants on a 20g High

When you break down your tanks what do you do to scoop out the sand/dirt? If you were to use gravel how would you separate the dirt or gravel?

You just drain the tank and scoop it out with a cup or something. I don't normally bother separating the dirt and cap. I just throw it away and start over.

I ordered dwarf sag recently and maybe I should be careful to not let it get overgrown. It's only medium light anyway. Idk what to use as a good foreground plant instead for a low-tech tank

Just keep it controlled. It LOVES nutrients so giving it something like soil to grow in really boosts the growth.

Oh my! I like not using my light. You've tested photosynthesis to the max:-) Oh my! It was beautiful when you 1st started. I have fun w/ my magnetic cleaner. Beautiful Corey Pandas:-) It's lovely to make their acquaintance again:-) You just added a new category to my Pages, Substrate:-) "Other words to say about that" lol. "To know and not to do is not to know" Holy Christian Bible:-) An open area is kinda soothing to the eye. Not so "busy". Thank You:-)

@@TheWaterBox I got a lil Electric Blue Acura to be a companion for my larger but that leaves Apistogramma alone and it is attacking my new lil acura:-( The big acura keeps a close watch. It schools with the new fish:-)

I'd leave that space alone and trim back that Java to create a visual 'sweep' from the right corner to about the 3/4 mark of the tank. Put another stone in place of the trimmed Java pointing towards that 3/4 mark and create 'valley'. Put on a transition background from matte white on the bottom to a matte blue on top to fill in that empty space... Just my two cents.

I have a similar one (without the solenoid valve) and inline counter.. but it tends to have issues with blowing the tubing off the diffuser etc.. maybe Just gotta play with it more

Mainly, yup and like Fabouls said, the algae helped with that. The dwarf Sag is the big factor though, they love the nitrates.
