With planting out of the way, we can switch gears and drop the hammer down to knock out some hay acres. First cutting 2023 is underway, we've got some beautiful weather so lets get after it! I hope you folks enjoy the show and as always THANKS for watching and GOD BLESS!!!

Of all the U Tube video I have watched you guys are one of the few who take care of your farmstead , equipment , the land and many other aspects of good farming practices . We grow up in a different times way pride in every aspect of life and what a person did was reflection of who you were . It's so very nice to see people who respect the land entrusted to them .

Really nice looking hay. That 766 is sharp looking. Do you chop any first crop?

That hydraulic swing is nice. This is my first summer with my used 575, which has it. It’s nice, specially when folding up. Sure is nice to see someone that knows how to run a baler. So many videos of people running their balers too low of rpm’s. How long are your bales.

Never had moisture testers when We were framing. Just had to stick your hand and fingers in the bales after a couple of hours . How much do moisture levels change after a couple of days or hours ? We never had any over heating issues . We did one year salt the bales we put in the hay loft one year. We would put about a little over three thousand bales of hay eighteen layers high. Then close to seven hundred bales of straw for bedding the milk cow in the winter . All of was done by hand . Once on the hay racks than stacked and one more time for feeding . Almost like putting up fire wood .

How do you get the bales from the stack wagon to the grapple? What % of your hay gets perservative?
