Such a magical place for Benjamin and you too! Can’t wait until the teepee fills in. A round rug would be fun inside. I know you talked about adding one and that will be so much fun for Benjamin and even Russell to hang out. Those towers will be so much fun and add to the magic in Benjamin’s garden. I'm new to these videos & this family, but I love that they bring science & art & engineering & chemistry together. I caught the bug & caught the enthusiasm & I want to see "what's next?" -with all the experiments, all the projects. But patience. . . One thing about the grow tower? I bought a smaller one a few years ago & couldn't abide all the BEIGE while the plants were doing their thing, so I spray painted it with leftover blue . . . but that wasn't quite right so I spray-painted some yellow dots on top of the blue.. . not quite right either, so I gave it a few green swirls. It makes me happier now in all stages of growth. OHMMMMm.

I have a fun idea for Benjamin. One of my Grands is Bennett (Bennie). Buy a child size rake and leave it in the area of the garden you have set aside for him, teach him how to rake and yet be gentle with the mulch. My Grands Love “helping” me in my bird garden, raking the unwanted sunflower sprouts from the seeds we feed. They can rake to their hearts content without ruining my real flower gardens. Now my older Grands know the difference between weeds and flowers and help me with real weeding when they visit.

Awe, Laura that last touch of words really inspired me. I was born in Belize, Central America and my mother had a hard life. Growing up my mother did everything to love on us, however we didn't have much. So, she showed her love in different ways. I now look forward to making fun memories with my children when they are toddlers, when I get married. So that they have little memories to reflect on when they are older. I never thought about what you said your mom did for you because we didn't have pictures of memories growing up.

Thank you so much for showing us how you tried something and it didn’t work. My containers failed the first year I tried and I gave up. I decided to try again, failed again but didn’t give up. Now I have beautiful containers!

Not only bunnies, but also my Chew-WOW-WOW (aka Chihuahua)! She LOVES home-grown strawberries and devours them right off the vines. She, like her mom, will NOT eat store-bought ones. I had thought about transplanting them into high-rise beds, but this idea is GREAT!

Oh I love Benjamin’s garden and he will too. I made a garden for my grandchildren a few years ago, it had a fairy garden theme with large faux mushrooms as stools and a sand area for them to play. They loved it and ran straight to the area when the weather was good. I have many photos of them and they have many memories 🥰

You give me so many ideas Laura so thank you so much. How fun it will be for Benjamin to be out playing and just go over and pick a strawberry if he wants it!! OMG, I wanted to eat that strawberry! This would be great for my sister-in-law who lives in the city and only has a balcony for plants! Very heart-warming ending, too; brought tears to my eyes. You're such a good mama Laura!

Love how you want to emulate your parents and how much you appreciate them. Most all I know of gardening and enjoying the earth has come from my Dad and Mom, and my maternal grandmother. I don't want to plant and grow...I have to plant and grow, it is in me.

Loved the tower! I've become so frustrated with the Atlanta weather...90+ degrees this spring...and the soul is solid as a rock! I've decided to take advantage of containers. It means hand watering nearly every day, but so be it! Your advice on container gardening has been much appreciated! I do hope the bad weather in Oklahoma has missed you. Praying for all in its path.

My babies have been gardening with us from year 1 (now the twins are 3 and my littlest is 2). They love eating strawberries right of the plant! And they claim they can remember our garden last year! I’m sure Benjamin will love it too! 👩🏻🌾💕

This is so sweet! The strawberries will be really fun to pick + eat with him. And I definitely know what you mean - we have a little 7 month old and we love doing projects and things with her, even if she won't remember them necessarily. It's fun for us too, and the pictures are adorable.

What fun! As a child, we built teepees wrapping them with the paper rolls that the rancher used to wrap the dates in to keep the birds from damaging the dates before harvest. Our home was actually built within the date orchard so our homes in our neighborhood were well shaded as we lived in the desert. They were maintained by the farmer. As a child, I used my Dads tools to make masks out of the palm frons that were cut from the date trees and sold them to the neighborhood. What fun for children!

This is such a cute idea! I think it will look awesome, that could really work for a back corner of a garden bed you want some height in, but can’t necessarily plant in! My dad has a storm water drain running through his back garden, they’re covered over, but In case they ever need to dig up for access he can’t plant there. Something like that would be a good solution to add height to the space 🧐😁 Can’t wait for an update.

Hi Laura and Aaron! Benjamin's area is coming along really well. I'm sure he will love it more now with the strawberries. Hopefully he's not a climber! I would worry about the tower tipping over if he tried climbing it for a strawberry on top. I think the supertunias tower will be pretty, too. Thank you so much for sharing!

Love it! Love those Greenstalks & have several. Planted up a four-tier with nothing but hot peppers and hope to get a sweet pepper tower planted today or tomorrow (zone 5b too, but nothing but rain and cool weather here so garden is going in late). Benjamin is going to love his garden!

The Greenstalk towers are really neat, but they look a little bit top heavy. I hope they don't topple over onto Benjamin some how. Thank you for sharing. Is it time for another garden tour yet?

Laura, thank you for addressing how u amend the soil! You read the comments 😍 or Aaron does. Hahaha. 😅 this years videos are amazing...not like the past aren't great...just a great variety. Benjamin's garden is BEAUTIFUL!!! Maybe you could replicate the garden for your community splash... maybe a community garden!???? Bet it's a great way to have ur parents involved in the community outreach and ensure customers have a localized place to garden as a community while watching over the kids!!! 😍 and the fairy lights! 🙌🙌🙌
