Check with your nearest farm supply...big box stores won’t have it. We usually plant in July and it matures around October. As soon as frost hits the turkeys will usually start using it. I like to lightly re-harrow the plots about 2 weeks before the season starts. We did a video on “Attracting early season turkeys “ showing it. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

I think it is considered a sedge. it's first cousin to the food plot nemesis " nut grass".
