I love the Chelsea Flower Show. I’ve been watching it for a few years now. I planted beautiful deep purplish lupines this year. It’s my first experience with them. I am so loving them.

I tried growing lupin from seed in zone 10a with great success (no flowers though). I transplanted them into the garden in winter and they all died off (maybe rotted?) I later learned that they don't like being moved so I've tried again this year, one crown from a nursery and also from seed. I will not be defeated!! 😆

Beautiful lupine. I love that color & will have to keep my eyes out for it. Just yesterday I went to my local nursery & she had some red lupine that I couldn’t help getting along with two magnolias. I’m in zone 5b Maine & I honestly didn’t know there were magnolias that can grow in this colder zone. So excited! Just wanted to say hello & caught up to watching your videos. Love your channel. I’m doing projects right along with you. :) Gardens are ever growing in so many ways.

Those lupine are gorgeous! I love the deep color. I grew lupine from seed last year, 2021. They bloomed but not a lot, and were on the small side. But this year they were stunning! I just featured them in my spring garden tour. They were so large, I actually have to move them from the front of the border to the back of the border. I hope they transplant ok. Took me 5 years of trying to finally get them to do well. They don't like amended soil and turns out I was always amending my planting hole with compost and biotone start up fertilizer. When i quit doing that, they took. It could have been coincidence. My deer don't touch them either.

I tried lupines years ago with not much luck. Maybe I will have to give them another try. Bonny zone 5b.

Are they not related to delphinies? they look just alike. Gorgeous! will be looking for these.
