Wow, what a great bunch of plants! Nothing makes me happier than discounted perennials. I have a good many rabbits this year also! We are not getting much rain, and it's been so hot and humid! I'm hoping for rain this evening. My plants in my vegetable garden haven't faired well at all even with watering twice a day. Everything is so beautiful there. You have a definite green thumb!❤😊

Unfortunately my lawn is not nice grass...it is probably about 75% clover. Therefore bunnies are happy with that and leave my plants alone for the most part 😉 What a great deal on those plants 🤩 I wish I could find a deal like that 😜

Great looking areas. I love them all. An idea when you plant things you can use cardboard and it helps suppress weeds. And it is good for the gardens. It decomposes after time. You might have to redo every couple of years or so. You got lucky on the cheap plants. Have a great weekend. Stay safe!

Those baby bunnies are cute but so hungry 😂. I deal with them in my garden too. My hosta is near to the house so far they have left it alone. I also use liquid fence for my annuals. The rabbits are somewhat deterred by my rowdy dog. Love your garden and the Mackinac Island movie was so much fun. ❤

Jes. Love all of your movies. I know the bunnies are cute but I think might be time to spray with liquid fence or trapping & relocate. I have a small garden and have to put cages around my cone flowers and daisy's in the spring or the bunnies will eat them to the point of killing them. They don't seem to bother my hostas but have tried nibbling on the astilbes. I have also resorted to a water pistol when I see them in my yard. I think the neighbor's get a chuckle, seeing the old lady chasing the rabbits out of her yard.😂

You have such a beautiful garden. I have lots of bunnies and I can’t put coneflowers in the ground as they will devour them. They were dining on my sunflowers and zinnias and I used the liquid version of the fence and sprayed my plants according to the directions and they haven’t eaten them since I did that. Have a blessed day.

Jes, thank you for your comforting words. I live about 45 miles from Nicole Smith, and am so glad to find her in my zone. Having an 8b gardener will be a big help. She has old trees and sustained more damage from Beryl than I did. We got the eye of the storm and lost wood fencing and lots of small branches. Some plants and bushes will need lifting and replanting because they are now horizontal. We have electricity now, but we do not lose our water like she does, and I actually had to turn the sprinklers on and hose water my pots yesterday. My grandkids and their kids live bear Detroit, and are getting rain from Beryl also! I enjoyed your plantings, and am going to find some of the Frankly Scarlett and yarrow for my beds.

I cannot tell the amount of delphiniums I have bought and planted…all the ones I planted in the ground disappeared…I believe the moles got them. But all the ones I planted in containers have been fine for the last 8 years. I am in the PNW and our plant sales have been a joke this year. The prices are outrageous.

Delphiniums didn’t come back for me this year either, I live in Massachusetts. I see a bunny now and then in my yard , something ate my Aster to the ground and I’m sure it will not flower in fall ,I also had a houseplant on the ground , an Asparagus Fern und it got completely mowed down , that’s the garden life I guess , the gardens are exposed to the elements and the animals and wind took half of my beautiful Redbud “Flame Thrower”down just yesterday, it is what it is .

Husband leaves out of town for work and he always goes to Lowe’s or Home Depot to pick up things because of his job he will call me and be like look plannts for 1 2 3 dollars . here in Texas We do not have those prices, but fortunately up north there is always cheap prices.
