So what about lighting and watering as you are waiting for it to root?
@leadfarmer735 жыл бұрын
BEARFRUIT GARDENING EXCELLENT questions! Lots of light but filtered, like under a big shaded tree or a warm garage or carport with lots of windows. The moisture in the cocoa coir will last for weeks. No need to water the mix. I just spritz the cuttings once or twice a day. Good questions Bearfruit!😉

You are great at explaining and showing. I am a visual learner. My seedless naval orange tree my Dad and I planted back in 1974 is still going strong. I am selling the family home after 57 years and now I can take many of her children with me. My daughter has dedicated her 900x900 sq. ft. basement in Barnard, SD for us to grow orange trees indoors. Citris won't live outdoors in the snow, but we can take part of our CA citrus tree with us and give these new starts to pass on to my grandchildren and great-grandkids someday.,. Thank you so much for this video, many blessings.

Very well said my friend 😀. I've used cinnamon and honey🍯 before and both work well but real honey is expensive so I stopped using it and went all natural. I've never tried aloe but heard its good also. Believe it or not... I get 90% of my cuttings from people's trash piles by the road for garbage pickup and the rest from yardsales. Just tell them how beautiful their tree is and they usually offer a cutting for free. Where there's a will.... There's a cheap ass ghetto way😀😂🤣😅😂

leadfarmer73 disability just don't pay the bills round here. I go for the money makers... Citrus and most of all... Plumeria's that's ... That's big money but more difficult to root. But Rosie's got that info to😀😂😅😀. Coming soon to a cellphone near you😂😂😂🤣😂😅

I'm going to start grafting so I ordered a grafting tool that makes the cuts so smooth and are easier to attach together. The best thing is it was only 13 dollars on amazon for the kit. I quit smoking in 2010 so now the money I use to spend on cigarettes now I spend on gardening and other accessories.
@leadfarmer735 жыл бұрын
Frederick Crow 🤣😂🤣😂 good for you 😉😉😉 I’m so glad to hear that. Smoking is rough. I use to try when I was young but never got the hang of it and just left it to the big dogs and never looked back 🤣😂🤣 I have the same grafting tool but never ever use it. It is actually more difficult to use than just doing it the old fashioned way to me. Plus birds will make you think twice about that tool 😂🤣😂🤣you’ll see😉

We turned a single $15 plant into 8+ more 🤩 We’re getting ready to reuse that same mixture again for lsu gold & purple figs and Meyer lemon.

it is 2 years old video, but i did exactly what you did with pickaboo cups, except i used rooting hormone and i put it inside an airtight bag (mini greenhouse); i did not bother to open the bag to see inside; to my surprise, after 3 weeks i opend the bag, no fungus, none leaves dead, nor the compost dry and there was beautiful roots all inside the clear cup !!!! i was surprised myself that i can grow this way ! sametime, i air-layered my plum tree but i have not seen any roots yet after 3 weeks !!!! so, i am going to do the pickaboo cups method for the plum tree and hope for the same result. thanks a lot for your demonstration .
