there just isnt a texture for if that were to happen in game so it defaults to the sun texture if anything it would likely become a fire pea if you think about it ice pea > pea > fire pea > blue fire pea but since its somewhat of a "special occasion" it defaults to the sun texture

The reason the snow peas shoot sun is that at that snow pea level, the game has no flaming sprite for it, because there’s no regular pea texture of it, so the game refers to the first image (like it used to with leaked plants), aka the sun sprite.
