It's crazy to think that pvz garden warfare 2 is "unironically"one of my favourite games ever

I imagine the designing process for imp went a little like this: "So he's going to be small and annoying, maybe we can even implement the gargan-" _"titanfall"_ "What?" _"what if we just did titanfall but... again"_

after my over 1400 hours and over 2/3 years playing this game made me think that GW2 did a huge improvement from GW1, it fixed a lot of problems that GW1 had, GW2 also buffed many variants from gw1 (chomp thing was really bad in GW1). i love GW2, the atmophere, the chaotic (in a good way) gameplay, more classes (and variants) to play, the problems i have GW2 that the game didnt get as much attention as it should, also this game feels rushed if you look at a lot of unused content it had (bosses, music, abilities, pottable plants etc.) if this game had these unused content, then this game would be more big than it is now, and sadly this game is not longer updated cause BFN, also i like your review, weird to see a review of 4 year old game in 2020, but its still nice that people still remembers and loves this game

I still remember every single detail of the Trials of Gnomes Update. How mysterious everything was, the frustration of not getting a Key out of the chest, the struggle with the memory Trial and the ultimate satisfaction when I finally unlocked Torchwood. It was just a all around awesome time for me.

The hype for this game was my childhood Playing garden warfare 1 and being hyped for garden warfare 2. Wish I felt the same about neighborville

It also had festivus, lawn of doom, summer nights, fall party, summer nights part two and three, Easter dlc, winter party and some others. So a lot of other dlc

this was my favorate shooter game ever in my life. my first shooter game was gw1 and loved it so I nearly screamed when I heard of this. to this day I have 3100 hours in gw2

To think that GW2 was just so kicked under the bus by EA once BFN was around the corner grows my hatred from them even more. You could tell PopCap put their hearts into GW2, it keeps a certain charm that felt unique and kept the player coming back for more. This love was something that EA rushed and eventually killed, as for the case of BFN. Man, to think if PopCap was published under a better studio, who knows where the franchise could've been. But great vid, it just goes to show how much effort was put in until eventually EA crumbled the damn game.

Dude the whole Gnome dimension thing is probably the coolest update a game has ever had for me, the aura of mystery it had when it first came out was amazing to experience

Remember when you could check the mailbox to see the monthly schedule for town hall gamemodes? When you could actually play the community boss hunt without using mods? Good times.

Replay ability is the determining factor in how long I enjoy and play a game. the sticker pack , legendary characters, trials of gnomus, and the leveling up variant system in this is exactly why I still play the game to this day. It’s engineered so well that every variant of a character I play feels like an entirely new character with it’s own strengths, weaknesses, and play styles. The trials of gnomus was a really fun experience and goal to get to, and it really made me feel proud of the hard work I had to done to get to that point with special characters that were exclusive (back then) to the ones who put in the work. The game was really steered towards progression through time and effort, and always got me back on it to get new characters, master the ones I had, and dream of the legendary scallywag that I have never gotten before. It really stood the testament of time for me, even if the game hasn’t been updated for the better part of two years. You just summed up all my thoughts about the game really well, and it’s great to know someone as awesome as you Vile enjoys this game as much as I do!

This is literally one of my favorite games of all times. It was such a step up from PvZ gw. I do, however, liked the maps better in gw 1, but this game was still amazing. Trials of gnomus was fun and finding all the gnomes was great. Also the mastering feature was so cool imo.

As a person who bought giga torch wood and hover goat 3000 I vow to not use them until I do every trial of gnomeus

It’s sad that they replaced the MASTERPIECE of garden warfare for the immediately abandoned “i’d play this for a month and then drop it” battle for neighborville. And yes, battle for neighborville is super fun and you should try it. But it gets stale soo fast and it makes me super sad.

With over 2800 hours in GW2, it may well be my favorite game of all time, and as I grew up with arcade games like Missile Command, Pac-Man, and Donkey Kong, as well as the Atari 2600 console being THE console to get, that's a lot of video games in my time! Taking what made GW so good and making it even better (with a few stumbles like Toxic Brainz, the Detonation characters, and being able to buy stuff we all unlocked), GW2 is indeed brilliant fun and improves upon GW1 in many ways. It also makes BfN feel even worse in comparison. We really need a GW3 that returns the GW and GW2 maps, characters/variants, and game modes (with any needed adjustments), has more single player stuff to do, keeps and expands the awesome Backyard Battleground (Giddy Park just never compared, it's worse in almost every way), and gives us new stuff to do and to explore and they'd have a winner. Also, they need to promote it more; BfN had so little promotion that it was almost as if they were ashamed of it.

MAN this was a trip down memory lane. I remember watching the clock during lunch in 4th grade with my buddies and counting down to noon. I got the game that afternoon and it has held such a great place in my heart. I got the platinum only a year and a half ago, finishing some challenges that were just grindy (like the EMPeach mech one and maxing out a character) but still feeling the nostalgia. The fact that I'm going to be a senior in High School in a few days, and that this game is gonna turn 8 years old in half a year is bewildering to me. Thanks for making this haha. Also I only played Battle for Neighborville Once before the servers shut down, that was such a waste of money unfortunately 😭

God, I love this game. I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into both games, and I’m still completing the second (I unlocked everything in the first). Absolutely recommend this game. Side note: Single player is my preferred mode for playing this game, it’s more balanced than multiplayer and the AI is decent

I'm sure all of us that liked this game were the only ones around us that like the game. Sure the artstyle is wacky and it's plants vs zombies but at the time it was SO unique and fun. Sadly I'm sure all of us failed at trying to get people into the game. I spent so much time into this game and hope for the day I see another game like this again. 💙

So glad that this game released on steam recently so more people can finally experience this legendary game. And maybe. Just maybe. They’ll go back on their word again and add more content.

Its just mesmerizing just how much there is to this game. And I only have two characters on specialist! I just now got peashooter to advanced. And about all the other characters to specialist. Still I have a long way to go... I've gotten foot soldier to master, and peashooters to super elite. Still not done though. I have stopped playing this game for months. I moved on to other games, but i bought the torch and tail pack but didint unlock torchwood or hover goat until i finished the trials of gnomus, which was very hard.

My only real issues with GardenWarfare 2 is the lack of other alt abilitys, cosmetics, and gardenops Firstly the lack of any good alt abilitys really holds the game back, alot of the time theyre either direct upgrades or to useless or hardly change how you use the ability, especially common for the bling variants of abilitys Cosmetics, most of the cosmetics in gw2 id consider the worst in the series, as the major of wearables are literal trash pieces turned into clothing, which i can understand for the zombies a small bit, but with such a lack of normal cosmetics, its hard to actually make any good looks without it looking like a dumpster fire. Also gold and silver reskins... God i fucking hate them Lastly garden ops, you may not notice it, but a huge issue with garden ops in gw2 is the lack of a predictable attack pattern for the ai, unlike gw1, the ai zombies (and plants now in this case now) don't have real attack patterns, they mostly just run and shoot and then occasionally use an ability, in gw1 however, each zombie class and bosses had there own attack pattern to recognise and respond to accordingly, footsoldiers always stick to roofs, scientists will teleporter over to you from a sertan distanc, taunting to give you a short frame time to react, etc, but in gw2 you dont have this kinda doom enemy fight, making it less enjoyable

I remember buying a game magazine back when those were a thing, and seeing PVZGW2 alongside Guacamelee 2. Bought it on day one and loved it. It is by far my most favourite game, everything about it is incredible.

My lil brother bought torchwood and hovergoat where as I got it legit I would always join his multiplayer and continuously kill him he doesn’t play anymore. $10 wasted

I just loved this review, the video was very entertaining and I do agree with most parts of the video, like the thing where they put torchwood and goat for sale which I didn't realize (Fortunately) until I finished everything for completing them like 2 years ago because I kind of stopped playing and then came back to unlock torchwood and the goat and then stop playing so then finally I return to this awesome game introducing it to my little sister which really enjoys playing it, and although the first one does bring me a lot of nostalgia, I can 100% agree that this one was a much better game than the first one because of all of the improvements they made, I really do loved the 1rst and 2nd games and they are in my top 10 best games in my opinion.

I love this game so much and i still play it. I was so hyped for it i pre ordered the deluxe edition. After a couple years i stopped play gw2 because i pretty much beat the game. Another like 3-4 years go by and pvz gw2 is on sale of 5$. I had lost my account wich had pvz gw2 and i was really happy about the sale going on so i bought it. When i logged on to a fresh account i was flushed with nostalgia. I check the mail mailbox and i see all those bundles and i was a little mad but not surprised as its EA. I actually bought them except for the iron citron and party characters. I still love this game its amazing

Im surprised you didnt talk about Z7 Imp more, easily the most busted character in the game.

I got the deluxe edition so I got a 25 digit code, which gave me the z7 imp, two new abilities, a bunch of cosmetics, and 200k coins. The embarrassing thing is I got the game when it first came out nearly 6 years ago and I just used the code and got the stuff yesterday.

I remember being the biggest fan girl of the first game. And I only heard rumours of it coming out. Then I went on this big trip all over Europe with some family and opening KZfaq to see the trailer for it and OH MY DARWIN. I was so fuckin excited and I'm not ashamed to say that I memorized the entire trailer AND the trailer for the multiplayer beta. Man......these were seriously awesome times.....
