A correction at 4:16, complete M components are NOT freely excreted in the urine in absence of glomerular damage. However light chains can be excreted in urine where the are called bence jones protein.

I have a question: My mother has Lupus and both light chains are high but the ratio is normal. Does this mean multiple myleoma? My mother is also doing a bone marrow biopsy very soon.

For blood and bone marrow disorders, I highly recommend consulting Dr. S. K. Gupta from Hyderabad, India. He is one of the best hematologists in India. He has an experience of over 15 years and many successful treatments. If you can't visit his hospital then you can do video consultations also. He does video consultations too.

Sir i read that serum alkaline phosphate(SAP) is linked to osteoblastic activity and SAP in normal in MM so will there be decreased osteoblast activity as you mentioned or it will be Normal ???
