You get about 7 +Chips for every 1 +Mult. Consider Odd Todd (+30 Chips) and Even Steven (+4 Mult), Scary Face and Happy Face, Hierophant and Empress, etc. On White Stakes, you can easily win with only +Chips. On Gold Stakes, you can sometimes win with only +Chips if you get the very high scaling ones like Bull. Long term, xMult is a complete game-changer. It allows you to get much higher Mult numbers than you can possibly get in Chips. This means there's a point at which you transition from mostly +Chips to entirely xMult. And I think that's super fascinating.

This exploit was patched. When Invisible Joker is copied, it starts at 0/3 and can't be used right away. In general, we will be avoiding exploits/bugs on this channel and teaching folks to play the game as intended.

I wish I could have had more students like you. I have friends who are really good teachers, and I've never considered myself anywhere near as good as them. Office conversations with students were always very productive, but that's such a small part of the job overall. Planning and performing live lectures is tough. It's fun learning about probability and statistics in the context of Balatro. It stinks learning anything without any motivation. I would not have considered myself a very entertaining lecturer, despite being empathetic, goofy, and chill outside the classroom. Regardless, I appreciate your kind words. Thanks for speaking up.

@@drspectred Oh wow, I didn't know you were actually a teacher professionally! That is excellent, the world gets better with more people like this who care. I definitely agree about motivation to learn. Whether it's geometry and linear algebra to program video games, or statistics to optimize playing them, it's way easier to learn and remember things when you have fun ways to apply that knowledge :D

Wasn't planning on getting *another* Invisible Joker. But you're right, we should've sold the first Campfire.

In the profile selecting menu, there's a button to unlock the collection, but it disables your achievements (on that profile) when you do.

It's not correct literally as stated but becomes effectively true in the long term. If you have 2000 Chips but 2 million Mult, only the bigger number matters, with the 2000 Chips contributing less than 1% to the final score.

@@drspectred absolutely. It's mostly fine as advice for how to play plasma, but it's not the whole truth, and especially on the lower antes, it can be important to understand the actual calculation. It's a fairly minor point, but I think it's important to get basic facts right on an educational video.

Fresh save has Mime/Baron combo unlocked, and for the rest of jokers you could do Ancient Joker/Dusk, and 5th joker either seltzer(only 10 uses) or really fed campfire. Probably not infinite, but definitely strong

I personally have the most fun on Flush Houses. Focusing on two ranks instead of going all-in on one rank feels a little more interesting than Five of a Kind but not as hard as Straight Flushes.

You might not have the cards unlocked, or recent patches may have screwed with the seed somehow.

To the Moon doubles the interest *rate* but still respects the interest *cap.* Where you would normally get $1 per $5 up to a max of $5 for $25 saved, To the Moon increases this to $2 per $5 but still maxes out at $25 saved, for which the interest total is $10. Without the Vouchers which increase the interest cap, To the Moon is at most +$5 extra.
