Ever since fears of drug violence stemmed the flow of American visitors to Tijuana, the city's been trying to revive tourism by promoting its new food, art and culture scenes. But Fronteras reporter Adrian Florido says that even as officials promote a newer, hipper Tijuana, vestiges of the city's older, kitschier tourism economy are still kicking -- like plaster piggy banks.
