Just come across this video as currently searching some options for plasterboarding our oak stair case! … desperate to see how you finished the awkward corner bit under the stairs, have you any photos/videos pleaseeeee?! 😂

Oh it is very tricky! I don't have any resources for you yet, but will try to describe it...! You need to use strips of batten/wood to span across the corner bits, as much as you can, to provide something to attach chicken mesh to. You ultimately want to create a form web that the plaster can stick to, so doing a few layers of mesh going in opposite directions, which are stapled in place to hold them steady. It's also worth putting some insulation under the battens and mesh, to reduce noise! Best of luck 🤞

Thanks mate - I like to think they're powered by witchcraft! They use kinetic energy, so don't have batteries, and last for about 75 years!

Cracking job so far mate! Only recently started watching your channel over the festive period when you popped up on my youtube feed. Now trying to catch up. 11:44 One piece of advice I would give is to put your receivers for the ‘witchcraft’ 😂 switches behind where the light switch for the bedroom is going incase they fail in the future save you ripping the wall apart, would only then need to take the backbox off.

I'm wondering if it's necessary to protect floor steel beams with this pink plasterboard or is it sufficient to put 200mm mineral wool underneath the suspended floor? All the best in 2023 😊😄

Floor steels are usually protected by intumescent paint, because heat/flames rise, they don't normally get wrapped in any way. The ceiling ones get wrapped in the pink stuff for 30mins fire protection.

Thanks! Realistically it's going to take some time! Cash is king, and we don't fully need the room for life to continue...we'd love it done this year, but nothing is set in stone
