Top work! I have a wall that is rough texture/Artex and it's been painted with eggshell paint. Can I use pva and then skim over that?

I would do a pva test see how it reacts. To be 100% guaranteed overboarding is best.

Thats definitely a solod wall youve dabbed onto youll end up with cold bridging now through your dabs

Looks to me like that external wall doesn't have a proper cavity therefore dri wall adhesive would be a no no.

What do you deem as a proper cavity? Also why would driwall adhesive be a no no? This was a first floor bedroom and external walls had cavity not single skin or solid walls.

what do you think of the adhesive foam method for boarding

Chemical foam adhesive is good and has its place but isnt a solution for all plasterboarding jobs.
