Thanks mate. Very informative. Great video. Please one question. How do you make the skimming plaster? Please explain. Thanks a lot.

Glad you enjoyed as for the plaster you just fill a bucket with 11 and a half litres of clean water then gradually add the multi finish plaster while mixing until it is to a smooth consistency

It looks so simple when you do it. I was doing it for a first time in my life in hot weather and it was a nightmare. It was drying out so fast I couldn't catch up on the layer I just put on. I was using multifinish 🙄. What are you using? Some slow dry plaster?
@ipfishing1466
@ipfishing1466 2 жыл бұрын
Yes I was using multi finish maybe it was a bit to warm the plaster will go off quickly in heat or maybe it needed PVA before plastering? What surface were you plastering on?
@mikiex
@mikiex Жыл бұрын
Make sure your plaster is in date, drafts (open windows / doors) don't help, warm weather doesn't help... worst case use an additive like extra-time

Do you put two coats of PVA on one after another then straight onto first skim coat? I always thought I had to leave first coat of PVA to seal for 24hr then second coat it and skim when still tacky? Just wondering as would save time if not haha?
@worklife4221
@worklife4221 Жыл бұрын
Yes mate put first pva on and leave to dry usually around an hour or so depending on suction and then hit with another and leave till tacky or even dry will still work.

Quality job. Looks lovely. I’m really struggling with getting a nice clean tight line on my ceiling ,I’m fine if I have the whole room to skim. Any little tips please. 👍

@@johnny6722 If you mean the edges where the ceiling and wall meet just run a wet brush around it to take the loose plaster off and and clean up with your trowel hope this helps.

Why should anyone be ashamed for putting there price in? You don't just charge for materials and labour but also the years of experience you trained for and have gained, as well as the tools you've had to acquire over the years to give the end product you price for 🤷‍♂️
