Just purchased the Kauplus from you link. I love these non-marring scrapers. I use them mainly for peeling off the large chunks of gasket material from cylinder heads, valve covers, etc. Kauplus makes very good tools. My favorite hose pliers are made from Kauplus. Thanks, Doc!

Just a word of caution here. The majority of these scrapers are manufactured from glass filled nylons for rigidity, as a result they can and will leave microscopic scratches on glass surfaces. Basically they are “non marring” on surfaces where the micro scratches are of no consequence , cylinder heads etc.

When renewing a metal scraper edge, grind away the dents and dings, flatten the back, and then put a square edge on the tip. They're not supposed to be so sharp like a chisel - a good, thin, square edge will work best.

Ive got a similar set of the plastic scrapers. For aluminium cylinder heads they are great for removing gasket remnants.

I can't imagine these would last very long without being glass reinforced but I like the short ones. Bojo Tools have been my go to glass reinforced plastic scrapers.

I work with fiberglass boats and I'm always looking for non-marring tools to remove caulking, decals, etc. Hard to pass these up for the price. Thx for the content!

Double check that these aren’t fiberglass reinforced! You might also consider plastic razor blades, like saferscraper. Available in multiple materials for different surfaces.

Those Ares plastic scrapers are available under a load of different brand names - my set is from Beta Tools, and also not expensive.

How heavy are these Ares and Kauplus? I have noticed that having a little heft to them usually helps me control them, even if most of the weight comes from the handle.

Unrelated topic; Ive seen a few videos on gearless ratcheting spanners like the Bosch Professional line. Have you tried any or compared them to a more traditional spanner? Apparently they use a one way bearing mechanism instead of a gear. Thanks

I have a 10mm Bosch gearless wrench and it isn’t very smooth at all. It feels like the bearing is “out”. Maybe I just got a poor quality one, but I’m not very happy with it
