Yes, plastic pollution is destroying our planet and plastic starts polluting the moment it is created. We need a solution that matches the scale of the problem and a global #PlasticsTreaty is that solution!
It means keeping oil and gas in the ground to turn off the plastic tap, it means big brands switching to refill and reuse systems, it means working in solidarity with frontline communities, and it means a better air and climate.

I hate when products are advertised as being eco friendly but still use plastic packaging How dumb do they think we are???!

Seeing as what happened to most people in 2008 without any major uproar!? They KNOW we are very dumb. Ignorance from destructive kleptomaniacs can only go on for so long tho...

Shop local. Start your own garden. Buy a bicycle. We have screwed up as a society. The best we can do is to go out as gracefully as possible.

I have been recycling 98% of the plastic, glass, and paper bags for years. Every little bit helps. We only have this one planet and we had better take care of it!!

It's great to just say - no more plastic! But it has a purpose. It contains all our food and products. What do we replace it with? I saw a comment like 'Start your own garden' Can we be realistic? We live under capitalism where everyone has to work fast and save time where we can. Not to mention we're close to 8 billion people now and the world has become completely globalised. We expect food and products from all over the world. It's not 1948 anymore. I'm all for reducing plastic but what do we use instead?

plastic free makes good land and seas so shop locally, go with non carbon vehicles, re use things like metal cans can be good in survival as a cup or small pot, USE THINGS UNTIL THEY ARE TRUELY OUT OF SERVICE! just because a screen is broken doesn't mean you need a new phone once like 90% is broke after a long time THEN its vailid enough to replace it, re-useable biological bags like once made of cotton, go by foot its the cheapest transport in the world, birds even do it better then most humans (like 50+ mile/km a day)

We buy what big companies produced, most of us never create a product, we buy it. So if this products would not contain plastic we would not consume it. So this should be imposed to the big companies, but the big companies give big money to Greenpeace
