@@jomama5186 so my partner is balding and stress throughout university made his hair frail and he started having thinning hair much more rapidly, he started taking those pills and though it dosent stop the balding, his hair have become thicker, and healthier! The thinning hair on top, seems less thin, again he is still baling but he saved some top hair and it all thickend enough for the thinning to stop :) His cousin also takes it, and she also says her nails are thicker, less prone to chipping and breaking, and her hair is thicker and sheds less. I tried it, i saw no improvement in anything but im not sure why. My hair is very thin and silky smooth, but i had hoped it would get a little thicker or i would stop shedding, my nails did improve somewhat! But it comes and goes in periods too. I think for me, when stress hits, my body react with shedding hair and weak nails among other things 🤷‍♀️ Its worth a try i would say, nothing bad comea of it as it is just a supliment 👍

@@SirShyBoihave to disagree. Would be different if someone relies solely on Voltaren or other pain killers. When joints lose all the Cartilage, then it's bone on bone. The Collagen, my theory only, is probably assisting the sliding of the bones, therefore eliminating pain! I'm 71 & at 61yrs my Orthopaedic Surgeon recommended I have a double Knee & Hip total replacement! I refused & today, with good diet, exercise & supplements, I live a normal life without pain.

In Dec. 2023 I began talking hydrolyzed collagen and did so every day with coffee and sort of forgot about what it could do for me. Once in awhile I would look closely at my skin and noticed nothing better. Nails were terrible as usual. I was using topical Minoxidil for hair loss which was working great, so it is hard to tell about my hair, other than my hair loss was no more or less. So I figured it was going to be a big let down. I continued to take it and suddenly by about the 5th month I wondered what was different with my body. Then I realized movements that made joints hurt not longer did. The aches and pains of old age were 90% gone. So that is worth to me more than any cosmetic effects. Hubby reports the same.

Dr. Youn, I have a couple of questions regarding collagen! (1) If hydrolized collagen is a protein broken down into individual amino acids, then how do we know whether the body will actually use those amino acids as collagen in the body, and not turn it into some other protein that the body needs instead? Are we just assuming the body does indeed convert at least some of the amino acids into collagen because studies show an increase in pro-collagen, hydration, and elasticity in the skin after a prolonged period of intake? (2) Also if collagen is broken down in the body to amino acids anyways, then how is that any different from taking hydrolized collagen?
@Junkinsally
@Junkinsally 8 күн бұрын
Because your body needs the amino acids to build your own collagen. If you’re suffering from any of aliments mentioned, you’re lacking the proper levels of amino acids to make collagen.
@bellakim9404
@bellakim9404 Ай бұрын
Collagen does get assimilated in the body, yet only a small percentage 10%. If you're taking collagen for the protein benefits, it's not a complete source of amino acids. No matter what source of collagen is being consumed, it's missing tryptophan. Whey protein is also assimilated in small percentages by the body 15%. Every part of your body needs amino acids in complete protein. These are facts.

The only thing missing is the amount that you should take. I suppose there is the recommend daily amount stated on the bottle, but at times the amount could depend on other factors. So, I am wondering if there is any advice about this area of collagen intake.

If the animal collagen has to be broken down into amino acids to be absorbed, and the vegan collagen is already amino acids, wouldn’t that make them effectively the same thing but with the vegan ones just requiring less steps for the body to process?

1 Tablespoon of ORGANIC, NO HEXAINE, NO JUNK, MUST BE IN A DARK GLASS BOTTLE.. Castor oil mixed in your palm along with your shampoo. Wash your hair/head 2ce a week. Pure organic COLD PRESSED coconut will work as well or you can use both together. 👍

Do not try castor oil, you are just going to occlude your scalp. Go to a dermatologist please I am begging you and anyone with similar concerns to you to actually just take action for your health and see a doctor. If you’re going to say you can’t afford one, KZfaq STILL isn’t the place to get targeted medical advice.

Would collagen help a person, who lost a lot of weight or had a baby to get the elasticity of the skin back? Maybe this could be an alternative to a tummy tuck, especially if the person is still young and the excess skin is not so extrem.

My hydrolyzed collagen I, II, III, IV, and V, sometimes X supplement, have vitamin c, biotin, and hyaluronic acid in it. I've been using this off and on for six months to a year, 🎉and the only thing I really noticed is that joint pains are minimal or gone most of the time. My skin is the same as ever, which means no new wrinkles. I have always had great skin without blemishes, so normal and healthy. Hair is great, too. I will alternate depending on availability and pricing which brands to choose. If it ain't broke....❤🎉❤

Take regular vitamins, and eat meat. Lots of collagen in meat. Do not eat too much meat though. Drink plenty of water, at least 4 glasses a day. Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night , if able to. Bone broth is great, if you make bone broth at home, home made. Don't buy from a store.

Thanks for this video honestly. The logic of hydrolysed collagen is very very simple. It contains the exact amino acids needed for our own Collagen, just as bodybuilders eat chicken breast to gainnthe amino acids for muscle tissue. Imagine if Bodybuilders just gave up on eating protein because “It grts broken down innthe stomach anywwy!” Wth is this mass retardation on collagen?
