@@TrixieMatteI I feel the same, they have a good eye for fashion. It honestly takes some talent to understand what looks good, even if u are commissioning it. But as far as being in a competition, u should be well versed in all categories and not just one. This is why I feel like violet wouldn’t really excel in other seasons of drag race let alone win if she was on it with other fashion queens like Detox, Nina bonina, Nina flowers, Sharon (don’t like her) etc.

Plastique’s package being made in Vietnam is amazing exactly because she probably got a GREAT price because the cost of labour is lower and she gets to support local designers. The French wigs are probably where Plastique splurged. I would not be surprised if Gottmik’s package was more expensive, excluding wigs.

I have been avidly following this series, you are seruously one of the BEST creators sharing budget meals. A lot of budget meals are unfortunately not the yummiest or nutritional, but you go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make your videos realistic and also as delicious as possible. Nina could spend 1 million dollars on her drag and we would just get 1,000 dress reveals for a look with no elevation in her fashion. Some girls just think because something is expensive, it will also look expensive. I think Plastique just makes things look expensive, and I highly doubt she would have spent an outrages amount more over her stipend.

I mean I understand that times go forward and change is bound to happen, but I kinda miss moneyless girls who had to really build their look each time, and who had to wing every category they weren't good at instead of getting training. But maybe it's worse cuz that had to be horrible to go through for the girls, it's just that now it feels like drag race is only for the rich and elite girls. Then again, drag race as a show promoted drag so much that it makes a ton of sense that the stakes keep getting higher, and i imagine girls in general find more success on their own because people are attuned to the idea of drag queens. Idk i hate elitism but i really can't be mad
