After playing against the AI for so long to get my skills up and trying to progress thru the difficulties I quickly developed a pull down habit as the AI has so many pitchers who only pitch low or pitch low a lot, Ive switched to more claw type grip because tbh even though we have the most xp with our thumb only, it will never have as much control going up as down just cause thats the way the joint bends the stick.. instead I use my pointer to push the stick down for lows and my thumb to push it up while making an Okay shape on the stick control freaks of course and while I may not have the muscle memory fr years of stick use with thumb only.. I also dont have all the bad habits from other games. I think developing a two way control technique is huge towards becoming a perfect hitter.. you may not be as good at it now.. but like any technique once you master it, it becomes the thing that sets you apart from those not using it. Plate patience has been a problem of mine as im usually tryin to squeeze in a few ABs a lot and am not practicing in the right situation for hitting. Thanks for these helpful tips

For those struggling too hit ... play VS CPU on like veteran and don’t swing until the pitcher throw 2 strikes sometimes they’ll throw 2 balls to see if you’ll bite and strike you out easy it’ll help take off that urge to swing at everything lol

I just got the game on Xbox last week and haven’t played any baseball game since shit I dunno been a whole but the more I’ve played and now after watching this vid I’m definitely convinced the best approach to the plate is the same approach I took in my college and high school days.

When I put the pci to zero , so that I can’t see it at all. , I can focus on the ball more My pci is invisible but apparently I have a great sense of where it is, because I’m making contact with virtually every pitch

Also I’m only in all star 9-6 so I don’t really have a large sample size of game reps so I guess I need to grind more

I'm a quadriplegic (spinal cord injury) since I was 17yrs old. I was actually a 6'4 athlete that was going in the draft! I loved supermega 3 baseball on Xbox until finally I've got this awesome MLB the show 21 on the Xbox series X. Awesome graphics!! Believe it or not my fingers are messed up and I rest the outer part of my palm where it meets my thumb on the joysticks. I'm loving trying to master pin point pitching and that's saying a lot considering my injury. The hardest part for me is hitting because I can't seem to move my yellow circles over the ball. Maybe I'll try just trying to sit on fastballs and letting some of the other pitches go whether to high or too low. I know everyone seems to say use strikezone 1 or 2 for hitting but I kind of like using strikezone 3. Do you strictly use the A button for a normal swing or do you ever use the contact and power swings? Nick

Like you mentioned in another video, everyone is throwing dots with the new pinpoint pitching. So how do you get a pitch right down the middle if everyone is throwing dots at the corner? I've also tried to wait for meatballs, but every time I tried that, the result was they threw me two dots or pitches that's not where I sit, then I was 0-2 and needed to protect, and swung on bad pitches for easy outs.
