Not to mock you but I thought he won 11 homeruns titles as well as 11 slugging pct titles 11 on base pct titles 11 leading in runs scored twice he hit 3 homeruns in World Series game and he had a 324. Career World Series batting average and he hit 15 homeruns in ws play mantle who had 18 homers had a 238. Career World Series batting avg no one ever dominated the game like ruth and only bill russell and Tom Brady even compare to him and maybe sugar ray Robinson in all sports not bad for a guy who won 90 plus games a pitcher and lost only 45 and was 3-0 as a pitcher in World Series play and was raised in a church because his family couldn’t control him and he and lou Gehrig went on barnstorming tours playing ball against everyone in off season to raise money for orphans he drank and ate hot dogs but no one ever mentions the other things how he signed anything for anyone and allways took time to play ball with the kids what other atheletes does that now or since

This film was made in 1932, so that would be 88 years ago now, does anyone know if any of those little boys are still alive today in 2020? Those kids would have to be close to 100 years old today lol, but lots of people are living longer. My grandfather is currently 98 years old, and it's weird to think he would be around the same age as these kids lol.

Why couldn't there have been more of these types of short films? The Babe shows up in a random town, helps the local group of kids improve their baseball skills, and then hops on a train to another city or town. I have to say that Babe was a natural when it came to Hollywood.

He's actually in better shape than I pictured for a 37 year old man who ate a ton and did little in the way of exercise. I understand in his last season he was somewhat how we think of him with a huge belly and almost no running ability, but could still hit them a mile if he could catch up with them. I believe he didn't even hit .200 his last season, but hit 3 home runs his final game.

Love that tiny glove and fundamental teachings of the Babe - just like how today's Little League Dads try to impart on the teams they coach. Kids have the same attitudes in baseball now as they did back 90+ years ago. Some things never really change.

HE WAS AN OUTSTANDING PITCHER WITH 94 WINS AND 46. LOSSES. 2.28 ERA FOR HIS TIME PITCHING. STOLE HOME PLATE. 10 TIMES. 29 AND ONE THIRD SCORELESS INNINGS AS A PITCHER IN 1918 WORLD SERIES. 1916 HE WON 23 GAMES. 9 OF THEM WERE SHUTOUTS AND HE PITCHED IN 23 COMPLETE GAMES. 714. HR. .342. LIFETIME BAT AVE. NEED SAY NO MORE. !!!! THE BABE IS THE GOAT !!!!!

@@bryanmatthews1540 IDK , didn't Boston's Luis Tiant pitch 14 and a third innings in his classic extra-inning duel with Nolan Ryan; a complete game loss ...a _game_ , by the way, in which the Angels' fireballer threw 235 pitches over 13 innings on the mound . These coddled wimps today are done a disservice by the "Analytics Gurus(Read: jerk-offs)" and "Pitch-Count" Nazis who rule with an iron fist over the modern day game , dummies who haven't a clue as to what goes into the art of pitching i.e. what is required not only physically but psychologically and intellectually in order to truly master the craft.
