We won, drew and lost all at once. I am angry, gutted and proud all at once. Hardly anyone put a foot wrong all match. I really do feel for Holgate and Hegazi they've been brilliant all season and two of my favourites. Penalties are pot luck and it's a brutal way to go out.

This is heartbreaking, worst way to lose but like you said I’m so proud of them, they gave it there all and it’s all we can ask. I’m not going to lie, I had to hold back the tears but penalties is a lottery and Villa had the numbers. Anyway mate, congrats on hitting 3k subs, fully deserved! 👍

I actually felt fairly happy after the game. Probably because I expected to lose so making it to penalties was a great achievement, especially with ten men. We had injuries and suspensions, villa didn't. Would have been so different if we didn't have those problems. We'll get a new manager, we'll get some new players, we'll go again.

We were shocking in extra time and hegazi and holgate on pens makes not sense. Also taking off jay rod when it could possibly go to pens was ridiculous. Another season in the championship. Hopefully we can get some new players in and win the league

There was a 10 minute spell in the 2nd half when our defenders just decided to play the albion players in a couple of times, but overall Villa were the better team. I thought that over the 2 legs we were well below our usual standards, but there was only one team remotely interested in trying to attack. Must admit I was surprised. Albion scored more goals than us in the league, so to see them only interested in defending and trying to nick a goal from a set piece (which we happily obliged with some shocking defending) was weird. Referee was shocking again. How Brunt didn't get a straight red for that disgraceful stamp on Mcginn's arm is a mystery. Not to mention the push by Rodriguez in the build up to your goal, and Bartley with his arms around Hourihane's neck to prevent him from jumping. We will have to play a lot better in the final against what will probably be Leeds. Albion need to appoint a forward thinking manager for next season. Do that and you will be in the mix for automatic promotion. Both legs have been straight out of the Pulis handbook and your supporters deserve better than that.

To be fair, I've always considered Albion as a bigger rival to us that the shower down at Small Heath. With Small Heath I can't even bring myself to hate them. Their just a constant source of amusement with their tin hat theories, jealousy and bitterness. Albion at least have some sort of identity as a club.
