Back to Playa Flamenca where it all started for us.
We walk about the Playa Flamenca Centre during the day, and then Barry heads down at night to book us a table at the Lansdowne.
It's great to see the Playa Flamenca are doing well.

This was so exciting to watch for me because we recently returned home to Canada from that area. We raised a pint or two and enjoyed the live music at The Landsdowne on a few occasions and met some great people. We spent time at Spud Murphys and Oscars as well. We were there from Nov1/22-Dec 15/22. We fell in love with the area and have started the process to obtain our NLV and hope to be back in Spain full time by September. It was nice to see what to expect in high season. Great to see businesses bustling. Thanks for sharing

Enjoyed the vlog - good to see new bars and restaurants opening - Milk & Honey looks great. When you are next there, check out a shop called Fox & Wolf ( ground floor, outside) fabulous candles, diffusers, homewear etc

Lovely wee bar behind spud Murphy on the street side. Great that everything is starting to get a bit busier after the pandemic and that the centre is starting to get a few more places open. We’ll be there next Monday and sure to give Bombay supper club a try after your recommendation. Gong already booked for the Saturday as we know how busy it gets and will sure to try milk and honey too. Thanks for great videos and keep them coming.

I’ve noticed on your videos you don’t seem to show the sports bar downstairs or bar Amsterdam? Both great bars and the sports bar is always quite busy morning-close.

retiring around this area in 7 years. had enough of sweden and need some excitement in our lives. hoping 200 ,000 euros will buy a nice bungelow.

Is this an nice area to live in ? What are the bad sides of Playa Flamenca ? Is is empty dead during a winter period ?

Its a lovely place. We lived there for about 10 months but that was last year when it was very quiet. The majority of it is holiday homes so people come and go. To live there, not as many permanent neighbours and we didn’t like that. We were in a very quiet urbanisation which was nearly all holiday homes. Apart from that its a great area with plenty amenities and very close to nice beaches.

Thanks a lot for your reply.So what would be the best area in or around Torrevieja for permanent living if I want to buy a house or bungalow ? I fo not want to but an flat /apartment .And I want area not to be dead quiet once all tourists leave for winter.Thanks.

The town centre is always busy. It is a big working city. The urbanisations tend to have a lot more permanent residents here, very multi cultural as well. Lots of Spanish which we really like. That was another thing about along the coast, not many Spanish, and we wanted to learn Spanish and integrate into Spanish life here too, so we have the best of both worlds in Torrevieja. Lots of urbs like Los Balcones and over the other way up nearer the lakes, San Luis etc. I would have a good explore and visit the different areas. I’m sure you’d find somewhere you like. Some places can be quiet.
