Playa Grande is a perfect beach. Great surf and not touristy like Tamarindo.

@@jamiesunridge ya I’m here for a month and yesterday was Easter Sunday and there wasn’t that much people here but the entire week it was just nothing but chaos

The Rip Jack has great food, hear the rooms are clean but it's very pricey now. Great staff, but you'll be paying prices comparable to most US cities. I would recommend to learn a bit of Spanish so you can mix and mingle at the local spots along the main road leading into Grande. Overall though, that's my favorite area in Costa Rica. Primo access to a ton of stuff in that area and the surfing is fantastic during the winter months. Pura Vida!

I was just there. It was quiet and peaceful. The surf was a bit too aggressive for the kids.

Customs will confiscate your shells at airport, maybe a fine ....happened to my amigo . Aloha, still want to see more surf please....
