So many of these games are A+. Including Xeno as one of my all time favorites. This year really was impressive. And these games are on a handheld system!

I went back to your old top games lists and it's funny. In the early years of the switch it was top 5, then top 10. Last year you were top 15 and now it's top 25. Shows how many awesome games have launched that you can't limit the number anymore!

Bayonetta origins is criminally underrated

I completely forgot Engage was this year. That game is one of the most fun SRPG I've ever played. Story is whatever. Gameplay is fantastic. If the next one has Three houses production with Engage level Gameplay we are gonna be eating good.

Fire Emblem Engage is one of my favorite games of all time and it is the first and only Fire Emblem I have played yet. I am planning on starting Three Houses at some point in the future.

It's really nice to see FE Engage so high on your list. That was my personal Goty this year, such an underrated game, the gameplay is just topnotch.

Is Superstars on PC worth it with a $40 sale? I really just care about the single player Story Mode and a reasonably solid 2D Sonic experience.

I know this will be controversial but I loved TOTK. Playing Xenoblade 3 though for the first time now and its incredible. I have to say I prefer it. If you have slept on it then sleep no more. Awesome.

My switch 2023 top 3 games 1-Mario Wonder, 2-Zelda TOK, 3- Mario RPG

as a SE / FF fan, loving good stories.., FF14 (post ARR), has literally the best story & characters of any Jrpg out there atm, must try ff14 UNTILL the end of Shadowbringers

I just beat Fire Emblem Engage and loved it. My first Fire Emblem game. The music is amazing and I'll be picking up 30xx

This year has been fantastic for switch games and this is a great list, my top games for the year would have to be- Octopath traveler 2 Fire emblem engage Zelda Tears of the kingdom Xenoblade “future redeemed” Advance wars Pikmin 4 Mario wonder Theaterythm final bar line Master detective: Rain Code Star ocean FZero 99 I’m sure I’m missing a few but these had to be the games that I enjoyed the most this year for sure.

What metric are your rankings based upon?

F-Zero 99 is so addicting. Kinda hoping they do something similar with Star Fox. I'll have to check ut 30XX. I'm on the verge of my 2nd playthrough of Fire Emblem: Engage.

You hardly need any other gaming systems anymore at this point, the Switch has so much good stuff to play. I only have a decent PC in addition to the Switch, because I like to play strategy games like Age of Empires from time to time.

I must correct you on the engage review. (Surely Not for everyone) but for me AS a "none FE Fan" FE engage worked perfectly for a Starter into the series. IT IS Not Bad that you Encounter all those Emblems AS a Not Fan, quiet the opposite, Because These Emblems give you a glimpse into their own Games and make the FE universe all the more interesting
