@@soho825 Japan was an underdog going into the match. Given it being a world cup match where no mercy is common, Japan was expected to lose. Japan had every disadvantage leading up to match. Personal was less experienced, under paid, no time as a team together, the whole world, myself included was expecting Japan to belly up and accept the loss. However during the whole game they were playing to win. They won in overtime, against a team no ever expected them to ever come close to beating. We were all cheering for Japan that day. From then on they earned and were known by the name “Brave Blossoms” for they’re effort against unlikely odds.

@@vikingdion3174 sheesh thanks bro for the story. japan should do an anime or a movie about this amazing story.
Why did she have to say sorry? She deserves respect. Just cause someone has dominated a sport, doesn't make her unbeatable.

It was a great match and there was a call out two that Williams didn't agree with and screamed and argued with the ref. A lot of people thought the game was rigged, but it's just how games go though and she absolutley earned first place. An extremely humble player

Yeah also I think they were booing Williams not her

Williams was on her last leg after dominating for almost 20 years, i hope someone could finally beat her and Osaki was the perfect person to do it😎
That Rugby game was one of the greatest upsets ever. Japan vs South Africa. The world was united that day.

Last time I felt like that was when I was in basic training (Army) and I had a torn muscle in my calf but I didn't want to get out of any training event because I wanted to push through everything with my guys. Lol I even remember we did a group prayer before our last 12 mile ruck. Fast forward today I'm almost 5 years in the infantry on my second contract.

Lee Chong wei(badminton one), was very sad. He kept losing to china’s former number 1 Lin Dan, and kept trying to get Olympic gold medal and first place in tournaments, but h d lose most of the games he played against Lin Dan. That Olympic game was where he finally beat Lin Dan, but sadly lost to chen long in the finals. Props to Chen though! Many thought Lee Chong Wei would win

As a Malaysian, it still hurts me every time when I watch Lee Chong Wei lost gold medal in olympics. I felt very sorry for him. I remember I cried after he lost to Chen Long. I knew he tried all his best to win and I can’t imagine how sad he was at that time because he carried all the hopes of the entire nation to be the first person to get Gold medal in Olympics. I honestly didn't know any of these people cause I don't watch or follow sports. I don't even know why it was recommended but man I felt for them cause I might not know what team they're on but I know how serious athletes are about their craft and just what it means to win or lose and it hurt my heart cause looking at them I know all the hours they put in practising that the fans don't see just for one moment to make or break.
