I play grounders differently: So, the person who is it goes on the ground and says "one to ten", which starts the game. The it has to have their eyes closed on the equipment, and open on the ground. The people who aren't it CAN touch the ground, but if the it is on the playground equipment and says "grounders" when someone is on the ground, then the person on the ground is it. If the it says "bridgers" while someone is on the bridge, the person who crossed the bridge is now it. The it can also tag people. If the it opens their eyes on the equipment and you catch them, then you say "broken Ds", which makes the it go to the ground and say one to ten again. I just wrote an entire paragraph

During third grade, we also played Zombie Tag. We played it on multiple occasions, but this is my favorite one. Almost the entirety of the class playing it. Our class was on the first floor and we weren't allowed to go to the playground, not even at recess. So we played on the first story and in the class.We would normally play Zombie Tag before class started ( which was at 8 or 9 ). So, near the end of the game, almost everyone has been tagged ( including myself ). But there was this one girl ( who I'll call Rosie ) who somehow hasn't been tagged yet. To avoid getting tagged by us boys, she hid in the girls' bathroom. Instead of the tagged girls going in, we formulated a devious little plan. The tagged girls would trick Rosie into believing that they weren't zombies, and when she came out, we would pounce on her. It did require a bit of a chase but shockingly, the plan actually worked.

At my my school, Tan was called Wall Ball. Also instead of having 3 lives, you would have to stand in front of the wall and move around to try to catch the ball and touch the wall with the ball to get back in or wait till someone else gets out and swap places to get back in.

When i was younger i saw a snail and called it smelly belly. soon everybody started collecting snails but they didnt know who came up with the idea. The snail trend didnt die out until 2 school grades later.

I can't get over on how young this man sounds

At my school all we had was a small grass field and some concrete for break and I remember there was a game that was super popular called “stuck in the mud” it was like tag but if you got tagged you had to stand still and t pose kinda until someone ran under your arm then you could move again We also had structured play which me and my bff HATED so all we would do at break is just hide and talk to each other until the teachers found us and told us we have to join a game (Structured play is like where the teachers all do their own game and the kids had to choose what to play)

At my school we played “noodle” it was fun . Here’s how it works: there is 1 noodle and the rest are meatballs. The noodle sits at the bottom of the slide and the meatballs go down the slide and try to push the noodle off. If you can’t get the noodle off, you just sit there and wait until the next meatball comes. This goes on over and over until someone finally pushes the noodle off. If the meatballs push the noodle off “team meatball” wins. If the noodle can hold up all the meatballs on the slide, “team noodle” wins.

when i was growing up, "Tanz" was called wall ball or more commonly, Dodge Ball. becuase we had a rule where when the punishment was happening, you had three chances to dodge the ball, if you where able to dodge the ball all three times you where safe, if you got hit any of those 3 times you lost 1 of your 3 lives. Needless to say, knowing this game as dodge ball caused some MAJOR confusion when i discovered the more common game of Dodge Ball.

The only playground games I had was tag, hide and seek, and floor is lava. There is also a thing I play, it isn't really a game, but me and a few friends had a tree we played at, we made a garden sort of thing at recess, though every time we came back the next day, other kids destroyed the garden..then one day I found a medium rock near a fence, I called it an island and put some stuff like a garden near it. I still do this, it's been happening since I was in 4th grade, but the last tree me and my friends had was blocked by a fence that was put around the playground a month or few ago.

I’ve played all those games in my childhood, zombie tag used to be called "Infection tag" and grounders used to be called "sandman". And plus, tan at my school was called wall ball. And we had a game called 4- squares. Someone would have to bounce the ball in someone’s square and if it bounced out of the square, the person is out, on the other hand, if you hit the ball without the ball bouncing in someone else’s square, you got yourself out.
