@@astartesfanboy5294 in all fairness since the gun is so heavy you really wouldn’t feel much recoil so it being chambered in 30-06 isn’t much of an issue, it’s the weight of the gun.

The main annoyance was the suppression especially in BF3. Although being suppressed is a strategy in real life, there's certain elements in games that are in real life that shouldn't be so annoying in regular shooters like Battlefield.

They're a bit shitty but they do work... most of the time. The issue is that the S2-200 requires hit & run tactics, which means your Bipod will literally get you killed fairly often using it

But the TTK in Battlefield 1 is way slower so you can actually counter them. In BFV you just get dropped by the MG42 Bush wookie in the blink of an eye, plus sometimes the game doesnt even show you their position in the kill cam so good luck with them

@@dr.deagle6710 well yes, that happens, but consider the fact that in BFV suppression doesnt sway your aim in any way, you can instantly counter any MMG even firing directly at you with a sniper rifle, or double tap it with a Garand or a similar gun. Also you are saying TTK is faster, that is correct in some cases only. All the MMGs kill with 4 bullets at close range, but with 6 at longer ranges. In BF1 you only needed 5 bullets at longer ranges (M1917, Parabellum...) So yes, in BFV some MMGs kill quicker at closer ranges, but at longer ranges they are almost always inferior to BF1 LMGs. edit: BF1 LMGs also killed with 4 bullets at close ranges.

Jan Hynar agreed. Obviously you run round the corner into a 1200 rpm gun at close range - you’re dead, that’s fair. But at long range if you’re a halfway decent marksman you can easily just aim at the muzzle flash and get a headshot.

Miraak tbh I’d quite like it, it would allow them to nerf the bipod mechanics without making the MMGs super hard to use and nearly useless. But it would have to have some serious balancing.

Its just annoying, a limbless fetus can go positive with mmgs literally all u do is press and hold down R2

When you slaughter 35 million people it’s not hard to go positive with basically any weapon in this game. I’d say although gunplay wise, maybe MMGs aren’t the hardest, but positioning matters a lot more - if you dump yourself in too high of a traffic area you’re getting knifed.

It depends on the game to be honest. In Battlefield 3 and 4 they were horrible because of the suppression as well as the fact that you can mount thermal scopes as well as suppressors to your MGs. The only good way to counter thermal scopes was to get the white DICE LA character skin, which made your character stand out like a sore thumb on non-winter maps.

The suppression in Battlefield 3 was really what made it so bad. It messed with your accuracy which meant usually you were dead if you didn't know where the guy was.

@@user-xp9jo2rv3q ehh, tbh I've made the experience that mid-long range is their only viable way of playing with them. I usually use(d) the suppressor perk and kept track of where my team is, so if I wouldn't get kills, I could atleast shoot in a general direction and get points and support the team by that.

It would be possible, but you would probably go on your back from the recoil if you shot more than 5 bullets forcing you onto the ground.
