vatican is actually definitely possible if you just stack all game and research diplomacy, then wait for italy to destabilise. doesn’t work every game obviously but it can be done within about an hour, with world domination in like 3.

@@jessg3416 it usually happens when its neighbours attack other european countries, weakening NATO which allows for a weak italy, usually taken by north african countries or USA, or whichever superpower is in the lead that game.

I also recommend Germany, as no other countries have alliances with the bordering countries Switzerland and Austria, so you can kinda snatch them without any consequences, and u can also make a good amount of money from it

You can play as Vatican City. I played as then and nearly took over Italy but their Allies came over and clapped me. It is definitely do-able, just extremely hard because it is legendary difficulty.
