I think the large turn bet on Q43r8x (3:00) makes a lot of sense from the straddle. They should have all the 33/44/Q8s/Q4s, maybe even Q3xs, plus lots of strong draws that are happy to bet big and bink or barrel. Whereas after checking back, the preflop raiser has very few nutted hands but lots of marginal hands.

11:59 I don't think people pay off w Kc or Qc here for a big raise on the river. I think you just value-own yourself vs the 6c. 4-flush boards you can only raise very small with the nut Ace. Cause it's kinda easy to have it and then hard to find any bluffs either. 16:12 would you bet a 3 here on the river for value when he has so much Ax?. Weird spot, I think you should just check-fold on the Ace river cause you can't even rep anything anymore.

Wouldn't you want red 9s matching the 7s?
@elliotsmeal3516

@@VTInt1 V may try to value bet hands like 9h8h or 9c8c fearing a check otr, neither of which he can have since Ethan holds 9c9h in his hand. Also, to your point, there is only one combo of 97s available. If V has a boat, it's A8s, A7s, or 67s. It's just really difficult for him to have one considering Ethan's specific holding.

@@VTInt1 Sure thing. I always try to see how many value combos someone might have they are trying to rep when faced with a decision. Paired boards make it difficult to have nut hands, double paired boards even more so. I also missed the one combo of 87s V can have. There are also two combos of quads, of course.

Even though you're capable of bluffing there, he really ONLY beats a complete airball the whole way. No broadway draws, just crazy to decide that's where he piles money in. Weird hand in a vacuum.
