It’s sad that the series that allowed me to get into Vanguard with its $4 start decks has released a necessary $20 deck full of vanillas. Hopefully the Energy Generator drops in price to like $1 soon, I’ll wait to play “legal” Vanguard until then.

I love the Shadowverse theme throughout you even used the Dragoncraft battle arena theme I believe haha. I hate this product tbh but ofc I picked up my Lyrical ones for the generator, I don't plan to even use the cards other than the excess pgs and triggers it provides maybe when Marlean is a better deck with more support I'll consider building it. Lyrical is actually a bit relieved because it has a future promo boss where it uses nothing but vanillas so you can give some life to these useless fillers lol. Honestly Gabe is giving, I love when he comes back for these even if it's very rare nowadays assuming he's busy and doing other stuff instead which good for him. The vibe was vibing during that vanilla game made a boring game into a funny one

The difference between these decks and the other 9 from to overdress/willdress era is insanity, what grinds my gears is the effect reprints of the vanilla in the first booster, and that the crest is mandatory to just play the game

You'd be surprised how effective Sarevsael is in a budget Keter Rush build. Blaster Dark rideline and Cadewalla amongst other options like Lagreale and Truncate Breath really gives the Keter Start Up boss a really viable pre-DZ-BT01 rush strat.

"Back in my day, Trial Decks gave us 4 Perfect Guards and G-Units." Back in MY day, at the absolute beginning, Trial Decks didn't come with Sentinels. >_>

We got the Lyrical QSD for my beginner friend. Did some minor upgrades with older cards. Like the card that gets +10k whenever called by VG skill. VG gets guaranteed persona ride next turn, gives that unit +30k without triggers, orders and boost. It was annoying to guard against.

So I’m just getting into the game, and looking around for beginner content… so I know exactly why there’s all the cards with the numbers. The trial decks follow along with bushiroads tutorial video for how to play the game. So you basically follow along with the numbers.

Stride Decksets and These trial decks are for the "Standard format." Premium Decksets, such as Jewel Knights, Musketeers, and Revengers are for the "Premium format."

Bushiroad; our flagship game is dying cuz weve consistently made the games powercreep worse and worse and had to hard reboot twice how can we fix this and become one of the big 4 again? Lets release all vanilla trial decks that cost 20$ surely thatll bring people back! Its literally all or nothing and i cant understand how anyone can be too stupid, last years trial decks created new meta decks This years trial decks deserve to be thrown in the trash and whoever responsible slapped lol

People really should stop complaining about these trial decks.... There's so many reasons they did it the way they did and I think it was a solid move. The only thing I wish they did was give the rideline skills either as optional cards or built in. Other than that they're solid. They clearly are trying to get the younger market, and even outside of that there's enough to help players understand the nations without being overwhelming. Honestly, not a bad product especially since sleeves are included.

Advocating for a $25 product in which 90% of it is useless is a hot take. I understand that the goal was to appeal to children, but I just don’t think it makes sense. Make it $5 like the start decks were. Bushiroad adding sleeves to justify the price is kinda slimy. The game is ages 7 and up and 7 year olds can have reading comprehension. Please just make regular structure,trial, start decks. Reading is hard, but this is ridiculous. It was definitely a move, but not a solid one.
