GBSC is the best for the PS2 if you're on a budget and in my opinion I think Component video looks better than RGB Scart

It depends on the monitor or tv you're using.

I'm using an ezcap capture card and I use obs to capture gameplay. Try switching to HDMI mode instead of VGA there should be a button that says VGA/HDMI

@@jomarijoestar Thanks for your response, the HDMI output works fine on my monitor, but my capture card won't pick it up for some reason. I've made sure the settings are correct.

I recommend the GBS-Control for the PS2. The motion adaptive deinterlacing alone is enough reason to get it.

Nope, you need the cheat code to have a true 16:9 widescreen instead of a stretch widescreen image. Just Google search widescreen cheat code PS2 for details on how to install the code. Hope this helps

@@jomarijoestar but I am scared of viruses for ps2. Although I found my tv an auto full screen where it can expand to almost 16:9 without stretching on roku tv.
